“In Dreams” by Roy Orbison. Yes the word “time” is in the song.

“Who Knows Where the Time Goes” — Sandy Denny with the Strawbs (and not so much her version with Fairport Convention)
“Time Won’t Let Me” — Outsiders, or pretty much any version.
And more obliquely, “Five O’Clock World” by the Vogues.
and coming in way in the rear,
“Time” — Hootie and the Blowfish

Good one. Great song, although “Year of the Cat” is my favorite of his. Gorgeous song, especially the crystalline guitar break.

G'Day, Janey!

Your grandad and I are in accord - you could raise your voice in prayer in public - and in public schools, no less.
The United States stood proudly and powerfully against the Evil Empire. Dwight D. Eisenhower was President. It was the beginning of the greatest period of economic expansion in the history of the World. Our ancestral homes in Europe rose from the ruins of war under the umbrella of American Might and Right.
There are many other facts I could cite - mid-20th century - the apex of America.
2014? Lots of work to do if we seek to measure up to our parents and grand-parents!

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

The Dream Weavers: "It's Almost Tomorrow" In 1998, while on a visit to Florida, I was surprised to hear this forgotten hit played over a local radio station. Interestingly, the Dream Weavers were from Coral Gables, Fla.

All these people they won’t leave me alone
And we need a little time to ourselves
And half the reasons why I’m sketchin’ all the time
The result of this life in hell
But oh well, I think its time
My faith is falling like the leave from atree
The pockets both take it away
The sun warms by body as I’m sitting on a swing
Watching columbus clouds bring in the rain
Oh well I think its time to go
My mind is playing tricks on me all the time
To let you know that I am real
And all the worries you build up inside your soul
The ones that make your world stand still
....Mean you can feel
when its time to go
Are you fed up, are you fed up with me?
Do you think that you could do better?
—not on original version—
Do I think that I know better?
Do they think that they know better?
—not on original version—
Five fed up faces with the itch to kill a king
****Blood red sunrise, and a breat to air that’s clean****
I drink from the faucet, from the porch I take a pee
I look at you through the bushes
Where you can’t see me
I laugh and slip into another state of mind
To let you know that I am real
And all the worries you build up inside your soul
The ones that make your world stand still, mean you can feel
when its time to go
