You've failed to mention what is obvious and central ...The third being; that Jesus was and is indeed exactly as recorded...the Messiah. No fit to it, He is just as he said, and just as recorded.

If you want to accept it, go ahead. I don't. It doesn't make sense that everyone around him, his friends, his family, his followers, even his enemies, didn't really understand his mission until after he died. That's ... odd. Why would that be?

.... You've just proved my point, that you've apparently ‘already’ determined Jesus is NOT the Messiah, and you are here to prove that he isn't in order to sustain your position

If people ask me questions, I like to answer them. As I have said before, if you don't want to hear it, stop asking.

Which would account for you saying you would believe Josephus over Paul, though Paul himself spent time with Christ.

But Paul didn't believe until after it was all over. When Jesus was no longer around to contradict him.

Unfortunately you contradicted yourself by saying...”I'm wondering why he made “certain” that they believed.” When in fact back thread your question was...”why DIDN'T he make them believe.”

No, he made certain his followers believed that he was eligible for the throne: he was born in Bethlehem, descended from David, but not through Solomon.

What he did NOT make certain of was that they understood his mission the way YOU understand it: the saving of souls. The most logical reason: that wasn't his mission.

...You are wrapping yourself in knots here.

No, you are misunderstanding my point. I am not sure if you are doing it on purpose or not.

Better that you accept the fact they had a choice to believe or not what Jesus said and did...as do all even now.

Sure. His followers clearly believed he was there to be King of Israel. His enemies did not. But none of them believed in the posthumous, Paul-created version of Jesus: a savior of souls for heaven.

Interesting your saying you not only read and reference Josephus, but you "cleave" to his writings......but you indeed said before you "Only" use the KJ version as a point of reference.

No, I said that was the only version of the BIBLE that I'll use.

It's important to consider that Jewish people are, for the most part, purposely blinded by God to who Jesus is and the facts supporting Him. This is of course for the Gentiles advantage.....proving again Gods great love for all mankind.

It's always enlightening to talk to people who can read God's mind

The Hebrews or Israelites believed that the Messiah promised by the prophets, from Moses and Abraham, through Isaac and Jacob, would be a king who ruled on earth, Neyland said.

He gave them good reason to believe that, too. A savior of souls would have no need to be born in Bethlehem, and descended from David but not Solomon.

“That meant when their king came, with one mighty stretch of his arm, he would wipe away their enemies,” he said. “But John recognized that Jesus was the one we had been waiting for all those centuries. And John, upon seeing Jesus approach, said, ‘Behold, the lamb of God,’ acknowledging Christ.”

How do we know he said that? Oh, it's in the book of John, written decades later."I knew it all along." But somehow he and Jesus couldn't get it across to anyone else. Why? Most likely explanation: he didn't know any such thing, and all this after-the-fact "I tried to tell them" business is exactly what it usually is.

No, his apostles were Jews and his message was for Jews. Now, if any Gentiles wanted to give him money and follow him around, I’m sure he wasn’t fool enough to turn them down.

.....” Paul didn’t believe until after it was all over. When Jesus was no longer around to contradict him”....

You really need to clarify when and how Paul met Christ....your statement sounds as though you certainly have your facts wrong.

You simply prove that you have zero knowledge of the Bible.

Yes his disciples were Jews, but he came not to the Jews, but to the lost sheep of Northern Israel.

That is what Yeshua himself said.

Because when I go to other sites, I know exactly what I'm looking for.

That surely must make life a lot easier.

I usually go looking for something I DON'T know.

One is that Jesus' life is changed to fit the Messianic narrative, and the other is that the Messianic narrative is changed to fit Jesus' life.

Then there is the third one...

Modern day Jews? No, I don't care what they think.

Yet you ask a bunch of modern day GENTILES what they think?

I'm not even going to go there.

You totally invert the meaning of Acts 15, which was intended to gradually reintroduce the gentiles of the northern tribes of the dispersion to the Torah that their forefathers had abandoned.

So say you.

Got any PROOF of this assertion?

Since you reject Yeshua’s words “I am sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel,” and yet insist that you believe on his name, it appears that you are a deeply confused individual.

I'm confused all right.

As to WHY you are so selective about the Scripture you claim to believe ALL of.

You don’t believe that we are to follow his commandments (all of them)...

You can follow them if you wish; for you have wrapped the mantle of Jewishness around yourself.

I'm still waiting for the list.

..((If you want to accept it, go ahead. I don’t.))

Thank you for finally saying you don’t believe that Jesus was the Messiah outright rather than be evasive. ..and it would appear you are not open to thinking otherwise.....further that you’re dodging anything which requires a sound response.

..(( As I have said before, if you don’t want to hear it, stop asking))

Your’re once again confused...this thread has ‘long past answering your questions’...it’s about “Defending the Gospel of Jesus Christ” ...there is a difference.

Nothing else in your post warrents further response. Already been addressed.

He avoided Judea because of the Pharisees, and because his mission was not to a blinded generation of Judah, but to the out of covenant “gentile” people of the dispersion of the House of Israel.

You are really convinced that Jews are gentiles; aren't you.

Sure you ain't some kinda weird MORMON?

It's always a challenge to talk to people who can't read the Bible for what it says.

A repeat in your words wouldn’t hurt...as mentioned in my post...this has gone past answering a non-believers question and is about Defending the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Which is why the lady is “dancing”.
