There is no large Russian military presence in East Ukraine, head of EU intelligence, Commodore Georgij Alafuzoff, has said. The spy chief has dismissed multiple accusations from the West alleging Russian involvement in the unrest in the region.
In an interview with Finnish national news broadcaster, Yle, Alafuzoff said the Russian military had nothing to do with the seizing of government buildings in eastern Ukraine.
In my opinion, its mostly people who live in the region who are not satisfied with the current state of affairs, said Alafuzoff, referring to the situation in East Ukraine. He went on to say that the people are worried for the welfare of those who speak Russian as their first language in the region.

Since we have actually witnessed Russian military and spies recorded on videos, either RT is lying or this guy is not telling the trtuh for some reason.
“Since we have actually witnessed Russian military and spies recorded on videos,”
So, all of those videos of U.S. involvement, and right sector shooters at Maidan must be true, as well, right?
Commodore Georgij Alafuzoff. Director, Intelligence Directorate, European Union Military Staff[1]. Former chief of the Finnish military intelligence[2].
Before being selected for his current position (April 2013), he served as the Chief of Finlands Military Intelligence (20072013). A graduate of Finlands Military Academy, he has held top leadership roles in a variety of commands throughout his distinguished military and intelligence career both in Finland and in various EU and international assignments, including: Senior Staff Officer, Intelligence Division of the Finnish Defence Staff; as a Military Attaché; Chief, Joint Implementation Commission, KFOR, Kosovo; Liaison Office, US CENTCOM, Tampa, Florida; and Assistant Chief of Staff, J2, EUFOR RD Congo[3].
I wonder how many of us knew that the EU had a European Union Military Staff including an Intelligence Directorate?
Diplomatic talk from a guy probably born in the RSSR.Really the Uks haven’t come across with proof positive, overhead pix, captives, basic stuff. Plus the Uks head of the interior leaves something to be desired.
It is simply classic Soviet/KGB tradecraft to surreptitiously create “civil unrest” as a prologue to sending in the tanks.
If you knew nothing more than how the Russians created a kabuki context for military interventions in Prague, Lithuania, Bulgaria, etc. last century, you’d conclude the same thing is going on in Ukraine this century.
In fact, I could make the argument that it was really the KBG (using a variant on the same theme) that seduced the Ohio Guard into moving on Kent State long ago — and at least have something better than a mere “conspiracy theory” argument.
If you’ll pardon the expression, this is how they “roll.” First civil unrest, then the tanks.
Since we have actually witnessed Russian military and spies recorded on videos, either RT is lying or this guy is not telling the trtuh for some reason.
This is a Sgt. Schulz routine. If you don’t look you don’t see anything. Germany and the EU is selling Ukraine down the river. They don’t want to admit Russians are assaulting and murdering Ukrainians inside Ukraine because that is an escalation requiring a response. The German/EU plan is to do nothing while Russia swallows chunks of Ukraine.

The main reason that the EU hasn’t done anything substantial is that the EU is on the hook to the tune of hundreds of billions of euro (through the IMF and the EU Bank) should Ukraine survive this.
“EU intelligence” - a contradiction in terms.
Christopher Story is a very interesting chap if you look him up on YouTube. He despises the EU.

Georgij Alafuzoff sees no reason to fear the Russian military
A Finnish officer of Russian ancestry with an inside view of Russia's army
- By Unto Hämäläinen The marble plaque at the Academy bears the names of nine students of the class of 1999: seven Russians, one student from Belarus, and one Finn. The names are of those students who have received nothing but excellent marks. The Academy is Russia's top-rated military school. Students there are set to be future generals and admirals.
- In his calm voice, Commodore Georgij Alafuzoff describes his successes in the Moscow Academy of the General Staff of Russia's armed forces.
- He is the Finn on the marble plaque.
- Alafuzoff studied at the academy in the years 1997 - 1999, and he probably has more direct knowledge of the Russian armed forces than any other Finn. The opportunity to study there was arranged through efforts of the Finnish Defence Forces, and took place after a lengthy pause: the previous occasion when a Finnish military officer had studied in Moscow was in the mid-1980s.
- The name Alafuzoff is not typically Finnish, and a look at his roots is in order. His father's family is from the old Russia - St. Petersburg - and his mother is a pure-bred Finn.
- In the 1950s the family maintained old Russian traditions, and this is how the three-year-old Georgij started in preschool at Helsinki's Finnish-Russian school. At the age of 17 he matriculated from that same school and went to the University of Helsinki to study the Russian language and theoretical philosophy.
EU - exceptionally useless
see - I speak Europeanese! So does my cat!
Come on now. He’s been a member since 2005. We should be able to disagree without playing the troll card.
Sooooo ..... how's life in the RSFSR these days, Igor?
” Hmmmm, a couple of posts a year until a Putin thread showed up last month, and then — bam! In our face like a can of Mace.”
Almost 10,000 posts in the last 16 years on FR. That works out to just over 600 a year...
