Report: FBI Visiting Gun Shops Looking For “People Talking About Big Government”

The FBI is reportedly visiting fun shops looking for people talking about “big government.” InfoWars reported:

FBI counterterrorism agents are visiting gun shops in South Carolina to investigate “suspicious purchases” made by people who talk about “big government,” according to a new report.

Author Brandon Turbeville says he was approached by an individual who works in a Columbia, South Carolina gun shop to relate the story of how an FBI agent entered the store on Monday, showed his credentials, before proceeding to ask a series of stunning questions.

Telling the gun store worker he was tasked with visiting all the firearms outlets in the local area to check on “suspicious purchases” for counterterrorism purposes, the agent then began discussing what in actual fact were “completely normal transactions,” such as, “paying with cash, purchasing long guns, and other similarly innocuous behavior.”

The FBI agent then reportedly made a shocking remark that almost seems too chilling to believe.

“If you see some Middle Eastern guy come in, you don’t have to be so worried about that. What we’re really looking for are people talking about being sovereign such as sovereign citizens or people talking about big government,” the agent reportedly stated.

Before the agent left the store, he handed the employee a flyer which lists paying with cash, buying in bulk, along with other seemingly innocuous behavior as suspicious activity.

“Get the Democrat voter list from the area and submit their names for the “suspicious people.” Fill up that database.”

Ding Ding Ding!

No more calls folks...we have a Winner!

Thanks...and I forgot about the shades. With the Boston anniversary I also recall watching cops in the dead center of the 'sterile' area i.e. multiple blocks already swept and cordoned off. Most were standing around, as you do when there's nothing else going on and no threat to speak of, but one of the windbreaker types had his pistol drawn with both hands gripping it tightly as if it an active firefight were about to kick off.

They can drone on about training, readiness, etc. but the truth is these boys love their toys and are itching to use them. I know a few in law enforcement who actually face danger and death frequently and they laugh louder than anybody at these pencil-pushing hotdogs.

Isn’t everyone buying a weapon cleared for purchase by the FBI themselves?

Exactly. In a very large Southern city where I had cause to know, I noticed that in a police force of about 1,100 the same 75 or so officers made all of the cases. Of that 75, about 40 made the vast majority of cases. Awesome guys and gals. The city would have cratered without them, and eventually did. They didn’t acquire toys. They prided themselves on acquiring knowledge.

Meanwhile the District Attorney’s office handled 10 times the cases at 1/10 the budget as his US Attorney counterpart. Conviction rates were less than 5% apart.

The real heroes go unsung.

.........I’ve heard all this “anti-government, anti-Big government stuff a million times all over town so FBI, save your time!

EVERY non lefty in this country despises this particular government run by this particular cabal of admitted communists. That’s OLD news!

Jeez! You don’t need to drive over to a gun shop and nose around and play “I Spy”to know that! Just pick up the newspaper! Polls are published daily! Approximately 70% of the people have lost faith in this so called “government”. Let me help u with the math. 70% of 300 million people is 200 million people. And, chances are one million of them may show up at Bunkerville II.

I for one do give credit to the Feds on the scene for being smart enough to back off and not get a bunch of good men and women killed. Thank u for that much. Now, go slap YOUR leaders around a little and try to get them to understand “THE ANGER YOU FACED OUT THERE”.

“suspicious purchases”

You mean like DHS and the U.S. Postal Sevice, etc., each buying up enough ammo to supply a European state?

Absolutely. Use their Cloward-Piven strategy against them. I’ve said this for years. Our side needs to stop being nice. The marxists on the left are not nice; why are we?

The DHS “see something, say something” campaign is similarly ridiculous and needs the same strategy used against it. The blatant anti-white bias in those ads was overwhelming, but the notion that someone writing in a notebook or taking cell phone pictures are suspicious behaviors is silly.

The worst part of this article is the following statement: “If you see some Middle Eastern guy come in, you don’t have to be so worried about that. What we’re really looking for are people talking about being sovereign such as sovereign citizens or people talking about big government,” the agent reportedly stated.

Does the FBI read their own crime and terrorism statistics? Apparently not.

If true, then the FBI is proving the point being made by those who grouse about big government!

This directive comes directly from the ROP lovers in the white house. They are afraid of the normal people - the church going, bible quoting, gun-toting Republicans.

What’s the sovereign nation crap? You have to explain it to me.

In my hometown I took a new rifle and old scope to a smith to have it bore sighted.

IT was a range finding scope and nice rifle.

I was "casually" approached by a very clean-cut man who wanted to know what I planned to use the rifle for. What did I hunt. Where. Where have I hunted before. What kind of bullets did I prefer...did I load my own.

I said as little as possible to keep from the telling him to buzz off.

I should have just told him to buzz off.

It is most important that the agent is willing to let you know who he is i.e. get his name. I’m of the thought that making these guys be named, like the goons at Bundy’s ranch, would go along way to stopping some of this ‘government’ high handed behavior. Societal shunning of such persons is deserved.

I’m guessing that they caught some social media chatter by some locals about arming up and heading out for the Bundy Ranch in Nevada ...
