It happened with Thompson in 2008, even when some of us were posting that he not only was a supporter of McCain’s Campaign Finance, he was head of the committee that wrote the original McCain-Feingold-Thompson bill.

There are a lot of people on the right that “tingled” for Dr. Carson, and also for Colin Powell, and Michael Steele. I think they are hoping for the “great black hope”. They want a black guy to hold up to show that we aren’t racist, and ignore what they actually stand for.
