If you want to make a case for women in “combat” then get the women to compete in MMA cage fight by body weight and see what happens. I had a “judo” “self defense” instructor yap about how she could defend herself and kick a guys ass. It ended with me on restriction, her with a bloody nose, almost choked out and having an anxiety attack. It was PATHETIC..... and funny.

Finally someone understands the essence of infantry combat, which cannot be measured in a gym or on a track. Infantry combat is measured in blood, gore, gouged eyes, crushed and broken bones and strangled necks. It's a terrible place for the strong men who fight in it, and it is a certain and gruesome death for women and weak men who don't belong there. Millennia of human history is somehow news to some moderns who've never had to endure real war.

IMHO, this is all about female officers getting the right ticket punching done so that more of them end up with eagles and stars on their shoulders.

I would like to see some all woman 155 and 8 inch batteries.

Since they run smaller body-wise they would fit better in armored vehicles.
Passing 120 rounds up to refill Abrams mags and fixing tracks would be a good challenge also.

The Army and Corps should have prospective women do actual real jobs instead of just PT tests to see how they hold up.

Being in the infantry involves, closing with and destroying the enemy. Closing with the enemy often involves humping 100lbs of lightweight equipment up the side of a mountain. Physically fit females usually don't weigh much more than 100lbs themselves. It's not all about shooting a gun. There is nothing light, about light infantry.

Introducing sexual tension into a military situation will not make the troops more effective, it will merely serve to yield further territory to the women’s lib crowd.

Women’s lean muscle mass and density is far lower. There may be a few exceptions but they aren’t in the military. No doubt they will be a drag.

Well said, and in complete agreement here. My parents were in their 40s when they had me...my dad was a World War II veteran. He was in the Battle of Bulge. I've seen graphic footage of that campaign, and I've wept, knowing that my young father was in the middle of it. The earthshaking roar of the artillery was terrifying and constant. It sounded like the end of the world to me.

As hard as it must have been for my father and every other man there to endure, I cannot imagine a woman there....the concept is just completely unnatural to me. The horrors of battle and the gruesome injuries that result are not the same as working out in a gym; to compare the two makes no sense.

My father wasn't injured, thank God, but if he had been, I would hate to think of him depending on a girl to carry him off the battlefield.
