RT ^

Posted on 04/13/2014 3:21:58 AM PDT by kronos77

Sunday, April 13 09:58 GMT: A video, showing anti-Maidan protesters in Slavyansk who have erected barricades in front of the regional police department, has been published online by an eyewitness.

09:54 GMT: A video showing armored infantry vehicles in the Donetsk region city of Slavyansk has been published online by Delovoy Slavyansk newspaper. The video shows at least a dozen vehicles with military personnel apparently preparing for the Kiev-ordered crackdown.

09:25 GMT: One Ukrainian state security officer was killed and five others were wounded on the side of government forces in a security operation against anti-Maidan protesters in Slavyansk, Ukraine’s east, according to the acting interior minister.

On the side of the protesters, there was an "unidentifiable number" of casualties during the operation, Arsen Avakov said on his Facebook page.

09:23 GMT: The troops besieging Ukraine’s Slavyansk all come from Western Ukraine, a source in Ukraine’s security agencies told RIA Novosti on condition of anonymity. The source also alleged that they are the entire contingent of western Ukrainian forces.

09:06 GMT: The anti-Maidan protesters have seized the city council, police and prosecutors’ office buildings in the Donetsk region town of Enakievo. The town is home to some 85,000 people.

09:06 GMT: US Vice-President Joe Biden will visit Kiev on April 22 to show Washington’s support “for a united, democratic Ukraine that makes its own choices about its future path,” the White House said.

Meanwhile, CIA director John Brennan has reportedly already visited Kiev and held a meeting with the country’s leaders, as well as with representatives of Ukraine’s security agencies, a source from Ukraine’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, told Interfax news agency.

According to unconfirmed reports, Brennan influenced the decision by the Kiev authorities to crackdown on anti-Maidan activists in the eastern city of Slavyansk, the source said.

Now, this is Russian news source - but since Western media are in full control of their regimes it is sadly, the only way to see other side of the story.

For me, personally, this is Deja vu. In 1991, this is how it started in former Yugoslavia. Nationalist came to power and than Croatian nationalists reduced rights of Serbs from being constitutional nation alongside of Croats - to status of minority.
Serbs setup barricades and Croatian regime enlisted “patriots and volunteers” in “special police units” - with “go-ahead” from US and NATO - they attacked Serb areas.

Alll this alll over again

If a competent POTUS were in charge, we would be arming and training the Ukrainian army, declaring Russia a Terrorist state, and going after Belarus and other Russian allies. We would also be scrapping arms treaties with Russia.

The whole mess started with the coup...the same folks from the Orange Revolution.

Had they waited until the election...which was only a few months away...maybe things would be different.

Now the people...both sides, have been backed into a wall.

Ukraine has not done well by their more than 20 years of independence.

Flame as you will but it's the truth.

Did that in Vietnam,Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo.... didn't went well. Kiev regime does not even represent all of Ukrainians. It those regions there are 30% of Russians yet 60% support for ousted pro-Russian president. Math says that all of Russians and significant number of Ukrainians are against Sodomite regime in Kiev.

Yes. It reminds me of Anschluss.

Hitler wanted Austria, but Austrian chancellor Dolphus refused to merge with Reich. He got killed.

Yanukovich refused to join Sodomite European Reich - so he got ousted and Nazis came to power in Kiev.

Now that the shooting has started and there are battlefield causalties - it sure look like it’s “game on” from this point. I don’t think things will ratchet down from here but way more likely ratchet up.

Polish TV crew interviewing Donetsk rebels. Take notice that those “fierce Kremlin commandos” are old ladies and women. Most likely locals. Seems that there is popular uprising against Kiev regime.

So it starts—Next move belongs to Putin. Obama has—so it seems—given the OK to pull the rebellious provinces (supported by Russia) back under Kiev control. This will not end well.

The weapons used by the unidentified pro-Russian forces are highly unusual. The reason being owning anything other than a shotgun in Ukraine is virtually impossible. Even the shotgun or a .22 requires paperwork and bribes most Ukrainians cannot justify or afford.

So where did the pro-Russians get weapons? The answer to that should be obvious. BTW, RT is a direct disinformation feed from the Kremlin.

Of course they haven’t done well. Until Yanukovych and his cronies abandoned their high government posts, there was no coup, there was a criminal syndicate running Ukraine. Coup is straight from the Russian disinformation program.

Where did the missing $35 to $45 billion dollars go? Here’s one place. Check out his palace then Google his official salary.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/ukraine/10656023/In-pictures-Inside-the-palace-Yanukovych-didnt-want-Ukraine-to-see.html

Putin is upset because he’s part of the same type of regime running Russia. He has to be concerned the events in Ukraine might give Russians ideas.

Our media either through laziness or complicity is mostly parroting the Russian disinformation as you have done.

US special operators point out in `Benghazi, the Definitive Report’ that former NSA director, now CIA head and `Drone Master’ John Brennan was responsible for the tragedy at our Benghazi consulate.
Of course, Zero and Shrillary played their parts as well.
If Brennan’s over there with Slow Joe Biden—this can’t end well for anyone.
Our foreign policy is shambolic. It’s at the point, I think, where we have to play George Costanza “opposites”: Whatever Obama & Co. recommend, do the opposite.

No, that would be a moronic course of action and not in America’s interests.

Ukraine needs to find a peaceful solution that everyone can live with. That means the 47% of people who voted for the elected president who was overthrown in a coup need to be brought into a consensus, which will mean major concessions by the coup government. Bringing the country back together will take time.

All this psycho talk about war and killing people is exactly what most Americans don’t want to hear. It’s exactly the mentality that lost Congress in 2006 and lost the White House in 2008.

Keep in mind that it’s the same folks in the State Dept. and CIA who are arming al-Qaeda in Syria who directed the coup in Ukraine. These people are dangerous and are doing great harm to America. The military leadership strongly objects to these courses of action because they understand where they will lead.

It is possible - wars in Moldova, Transnistria, Georgia, Abkhazia - plus overvelming corruption in Ukraine military - and crown of it all - Maidan extremists lost control over police and army - Army dissolved, Russian and Ukrainian officers and staff that are against junta in Kiev are deserting.
So, all kinds of weapons are there. Also, number of police and special forces are deserting to the rebels in east.

Rebels in east Ukraine are demanding federal republic within Ukraine, freedom for local regions, legislative, judiciary and executive power for themselves. If that is not met by Kiev regime, they are to succeed.

Soros regime in Kiev is refusing to talk to the people of the East - denouncing any idea of decentralization of government and are poised to take centralist control of the whole country.

So where did the pro-Russians get weapons? The answer to that should be obvious. BTW, RT is a direct disinformation feed from the Kremlin.

One of the first actions taken by the anti-fascist dissidents in Eastern Ukraine was the takeover of local police stations and subsequent distribution of the weapons stored there.

This information and the puppet regime's reaction to it was duly reported by (among others) the same media outlets you claim are disseminating false information.

Go figure.

The deserting thing is BS. Remember when the Russians told the world the flagship of the Ukrainian navy had defected to the Russians? That was while the ship was at sea still returning from NATO exercises. When it did return, the ship docked in Odessa rather than its previous home port of Sevastopol which would have happened if the ship’s crew had defected.

The Russians flat out lied. And they’re still lying their asses off.

The blatant lie on 3/1/14:

What actually happened on 3/5/14:

Berkut special police force splitted in half, also bare in mind that Ukraine have conscript army, cca half of their officers are Russians. Also, number of police stations and secret police buildings were taken, and rebels took AKs from there.

Also - are you there wandering where have people got AKs in country that INVENTED AKs !?!?!?!?
