Even as the IRS faces growing heat over Lois G. Lerner and the tea party targeting scandal, a government watchdog said Wednesday its pursuing cases against three other tax agency employees and offices suspected of illegal political activity in support of President Obama and fellow Democrats.
In one case the Office of Special Counsel, which investigates federal employees who conduct politics on government time, said it was commonplace in a Dallas IRS office for employees to have pro-Obama screensavers on their computers, and to have campaign-style buttons and stickers at their office.
In another case, a worker at the tax agencys customer help line urged taxpayers to re-elect President Obama in 2012 by repeatedly reciting a chant based on the spelling of his last name, the Office of Special Counsel said in a statement.
OSC said it is seeking significant disciplinary action against that employee.
Another IRS employee in Kentucky has agreed to serve a 14-day suspension for blasting Republicans in a conversation with a taxpayer.

If the IRS thinks they’re only for one party then ALL their records need to be checked.
How many democrats are fined vs republicans?
How many audits of republicans vs democrats?
It might be time to sweep the biased filth out...
Questions you ask, answers have none.................
The IRS has a vested interest in bigger government and self-aggrandizement. We should have had checks in place a long time ago.
Vote for the king of tax and spend — he gives more and more and more power for us.
Stephen Dinan of the Washington Times could win a Pulitzer for this type of investigation - IF the Pulitzer committee wasn’t largely made up of biased liberals... But Pulitzer’s a private group and they have a legal right to their prejudices and biases... unlike the IRS...
Stephen Dinan - still - please check these out:
How many democrats are fined vs republicans by the IRS?
How many audits of republicans vs democrats?
If there’s bias and corruption on the taxpayer’s dime the public has a right to know. Please find out for us. Thanks
Yep
Our public servants grow fat and sassy while gorging at the taxpayer trough!!
We're not just battling an opposition party, the media, education and entertainment industries. We're battling the bureaucracy. This was going on during the Bush years, too, where entrenched bureaucrats constantly leaked info to damage the White House.
We should have been building gallows long ago. These filthy scumbags need to be tried and punished for treason. They have committed crimes against Americans.
Fire every one of these law-breakers. They are obviously too stupid to be trusted to do a decent job.
The description of the job and the actual job were totally different - a bait and switch operation to fill positions for tax season.
He has been a tax professional for over a dozen years, and an accountant before that. He felt that he knew the rules better than his “trainers”. Job was completely depressing, and we quit within two weeks.
From our discussions, the IRS started down a path for EDI but then the upper echelon fired the folks who knew what they were doing in the 80’s and 90’s. Since then it has only gotten worse, and there is no political will to fire the jokers in charge and fix their systems.
He did not see any overt reverse racism but did see almost 100% incompetence in leadership at the local level.
TRUE-
I’m shocked that government employees would support a guy who favors radically increasing the size and scope of government!
Next thing you know, we’ll see Obama stickers on most cars in the public school staff parking lots.
