Jeb Bush is purposely poking the Republican base in the eye. Why?
The Washington Post's The Fix ^ | April 7, 2014 | Chris Cillizza

Posted on 04/08/2014 12:37:57 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Jeb Bush's "act of love" comments about immigration over the weekend drew massive headlines with some conservatives criticizing him for his latest apostasy on the issue.

But, it's the lead-up to Bush using the phrase "act of love" that's actually the really important part of what he said. Here it is with our bolding added:

"There are means by which we can control our border better than we have. And there should be penalties for breaking the law. But the way I look at this -- and I'm going to say this, and it'll be on tape and so be it. The way I look at this is someone who comes to our country because they couldn’t come legally, they come to our country because their families -- the dad who loved their children -- was worried that their children didn’t have food on the table. And they wanted to make sure their family was intact, and they crossed the border because they had no other means to work to be able to provide for their family. Yes, they broke the law, but it’s not a felony. It’s an act of love. It’s an act of commitment to your family. I honestly think that that is a different kind of crime that there should be a price paid, but it shouldn’t rile people up that people are actually coming to this country to provide for their families."

Jeb Bush knew exactly what he was doing. He knew that calling for a different standards for immigration depending on why the person entered the country would make conservatives' blood boil....

maybe Jeb really doesn’t want to run, maybe what he doing is rehabilitating the candidacy of his little protege, marco rubio.

I think both wings of the uniparty have come to consensus on the “tea party issue” (which is actually a much bigger issue than a few old guys in costumes).

That consensus is that we represent a danger to the current governing coalition (1933-1981, 1989-2014) and that the uniparty can break us through propaganda and a nonaggression pact between the “Democrats” and the “Republicans” in Congress.

It will become clear very soon that, if the GOP machinery is captured such that Cruz or Palin becomes the leader in the nomination race that Jeb Bush and Chris Christie are prepared to endorse Hillary Clinton.

WE are expected to support their nominee, they will never, never support ours. They will not make the Reagan mistake again.

We need a divorce, and the sooner the better.

He and Hillary will run as a “unifying” ticket

That is exactly correct.

His ego is telling him he can get the Hispanic vote and that conservatives are in the bag. You know, a protest vote is a vote for Hillary, and such rot.

Okay, just as I didn’t vote for Moderate Mitt in 2012 I won’t be voting for Jerkoff Jeb in 2016.

If want a Democrat in the White House it’s easier to just vote for the Democrat than to vote Republican in order to get a Democrat in the White House.

Do they not realize that the “Tea Party Movement” could have easily gone in the other direction as a cold or hot guerilla army of millions? Look at what two knuckleheads with an old car and an AR-15 did to metro DC some years back. Now multiply that by 30 or 50 million. Playing with fire doesn’t begin to describe it.

Jeb had no chance to be President anyway . He hasn’t held an office for 8 years. What he is is a “trot out”. The leftist RINOS (also known as the Rockefeller wing) were all backing the thug obama lover from New Jersey. He fell into total scandal by using highway closures to punish his political enemies so he is finished. So the leftist in the party “trot out” another bush. It is my view that they will run him against 19 real conservatives like they did Romney and McAmnesty and they will win because of their rigged “winner take all” rules in primaries but “don’t go there” again or you will set a record of conservatives staying home on election day. When are you going to learn?

There are poorer countries than Mexico. So their citizens would be even more justified in entering illegally. Jeb is not being fair.

It's funny how Jeb Bush and all the other open-borders, treasonous bastards can turn a blind eye to American citizens who are losing their jobs, homes, farms, vehicles, their votes, and everything else, while being double-taxed to pay for Bush's pet foreign invaders.

When Americans finally get fed up enough to start hanging these treasonous RINOs and commie Democrats from the streetlights and trees, from sea to shining sea, it will be an act of love.

My office was gasoline fire bombed by illegals once, when I was working the late at a Spanish tv station we part owned. I could have dies.
Another time, a crew of Mexicans I’d employed later came back and stole stuff out of my storage.
Another threw a coke at my windshield when I was taking a shortcut through a rough part of town.

Yup, I just feel the family love.

Now, however, it is a shock for them to realize even the conservatives have stopped yelling at each other for not having voted for Romney and realize that those three million who did not are not coming back for any more and that that number will have grown - they have the numbers.

So Jeb is pissed, indignant, entitled, and therefore, obnoxious. he

Well done!
