Eric Holder explodes at GOP rep: ‘You don’t want to go there, buddy!’ [VIDEO]

Attorney General Eric Holder exploded at Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert during a House hearing Tuesday.

In the midst of questions about the Justice Department’s failure to divulge documents about the Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial, Gohmert made a side comment about how the House of Representatives found Holder in contempt in 2012 for refusing to turn over documents related to the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal.

“I realize that contempt is not a big deal to our attorney general, but it is important that we have proper oversight,” Gohmert said.

“You don’t want to go there, buddy! You don’t want to go there, okay,” Holder shot back.

“I don’t want to go there?” the Texas Republican responded.

“No,” Holder said, leaning forward in his seat.

“About the contempt?” Gohmert asked.

“You should not assume that that is not a big deal to me. I think that it was inappropriate, I think it was unjust. But never think that that was not a big deal to me. Don’t ever think that,” Holder said pointing at Gohmert.

Just about everyone in prison say they are innocent.

Quite defensive, sounds like we should go there...

Yes, I think Ford did that some time ago. I think it was the first such occurance to put the watergate crap in the back ground. Carter pardoned the draft evaders also to put that issue to rest. When the current clown gets out of town along with his cadre, there will not be enough ink produced to write the pardons they will need.

“My question is this — Exactly what punitive power does Congress have?

When they hold someone in contempt and the person continues to be defiant, what can Congress do?”

The House of Representatives Sergeant at Arms should be called in to place the subject under arrest. Just like he did with Lois Lerner..I mean should have done.

Mr. Holder more than anyone in the administration needs his wings clipped right now. Jarrett could use a little prison time too, and Lerner should be her cellmate. But Holder really epitomizes the fascist element in the current administration. They want to play the tattered race card, let them.

Well, the mask is off.

If I were you, Louis, I wouldn't take any trips in small aircraft. I would also not let anybody near my coffee or let them know where I plan to stay at night or park my car. I would as well change my locations nightly and my route to work daily.

Unreal. I have never heard an Attorney General threaten a Congressman before. Remember, this is the same guy who says he can enforce whatever laws he likes however and whenever he likes at his own prerogative.

There is no place for such a thug in a Constitutional system. He would do well as a Soviet prosecutor, though.
