I’ve opposed this guy from the get-go. He’s a crypto-Democrat. The GOP has until August to find a suitable opponent (right now, only an ex-GOP Libertarian is his sole opponent).
I’ve heard weirder like strait-laced Congressmen being waited on by obviously faggy interns. They’re practically licking the guy’s shoes and he eats it up because it makes him feel like a big shot.

Yes, the duck people endorsed this guy. They are fools for doing so and anyone who cares about the endorsements of reality tv show actors are also fools. This guy was the RINO in the race and was endorsed by Black democrat leaders. He’s made troubling statements on a number of key issues that expose his true colors.
When all this was pointed out to the freepers that supported him over Conservative State Senator Neil Riser they had no reply. All they did was attack Riser because he was endorsed by the EEEEEEEEEVIL Bobby Jindal and says that this jerk was “tea party”.
And now he’s embarrassed the party by being caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He needs to go. Good luck getting rid of him with Louisiana’s stupid election system. If he faces a runoff with another Republican the democrats can vote for him, just like they did in the special election.

I’ve been active in conservative Louisiana politics for 35 years. I know most all the players, or at least the key “movement conservative” types. None of us had ever heard of this guy. No letters to the editor, he wasn’t around during the Tea Party rallies we had down here, never saw him at area police jury or city council meetings - nothing.
I prefer to vote for and support people who’ve proven themselves. Riser I knew, and he’s got a good voting record in the Louisiana Legislature.
We conservatives here in the 5th District got snookered.
Sadly a lot of people get taken in by ANYONE who claims to be a “tea party insurgent” whether evidence backs this up or not.

I agree with you. So many people will reject anyone with a record in the state legislature (omg they might have one or 2 bad votes out of an otherwise excellent record) or any “establishment” support. They prefer random people who up and decide to run for Congress one day after having zero previous political involvement, as long as they loudly proclaim how “tea party” they are and how they are “not a career politician”.
What is it with Louisiana Republicans, Livingstone, Vitter, now this.
To be fair, Vitter has a spotless Senate voting record, and Livingston’s house record was good.
This clown McAllister is and was a RINO from the start. I said so, but no one wanted to hear it.
Especially on immigration. A lot of the southern legislatures have passed immigration laws and have to see through the BS.
Whereas a businessman might be focussed on the cheap labor aspect.
