When it comes to women in the White House, Sarah Palin takes the cake in Americans’ eyes, a new poll found.

The Economist/YouGov poll asked participants which female candidate — other than Hillary Clinton — they’d like to see run for the high office.

Mrs. Palin won 9 percent of the vote, Breitbart reported. She was followed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren and former Secretary of State and National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice, at 8 percent each.

Almost two-thirds of respondents said America was more than ready to elect a woman to president.

Although I like Sarah Palin and she’s the only one that kept McCain’s campaign alive, she has been devastated by the MSM. I would like to see her debate Hitlery though, just to show the MSM she isn’t as dumb as they make out to be.

She was followed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren

OMG. If that happened, I would leave the USA. Period.

Agreed. Cruz has no chance in the Primaries and less in the General. Much as some like him, he’ll never be the nominee much less POTUS.

Sarah (who I do not expect to run) would indeed be a wild card and VERY interesting. 9%, even if 2nd choice, doesn’t mean a whole lot, but, at a minimum, I’d like to see her run if for no other reason than to shake things up.

No. They will not switch to Palin nor vice versa.

And remember, this is only 9% ... an almost meaningless amount.

Governor Palin and Secretary Rice are far,*far* better qualified to hold the office than are the Former Twelfth Lady of Princess Liawatha.

But we must be aware that if something happens with the Former Twelfth Lady...a health issue, for example....Princess Liawatha *will* be the Rat Party nominee.

the Former Twelfth Lady of Princess Liawatha = the Former Twelfth Lady or Princess Liawatha.

I’ll take Ted or Sarah. Ted will be Palinized too. Its up to us to fight for them, not to give in because of the media-created perception that they’re damaged goods.

A couple of my friends have pre-surrendered on Ted.

I’d love to see Ted Cruse get elected but doubt he has a chance to win the primary.

Even if he wins the primary, he is toast. America is not going to vote for another inexperienced one-term Senator. America tried that and it bit them in the butt literally. We need a big time experienced politician this time. Sorry but the Presidency is not an on the job training position.

In the case of Palin; she got her name recognition by being an extraordinary person.

Not denying that for a second. It's just the idiots who responded to this poll appear to have laundry-listed any woman they had heard of being in elected office.

Palin beats out communist/liar Elizabeth Warren (Fauxcahontis) by only 1 point.

yes--she got a whopping 9 percent... Warren and Condi both garnered 8 percent... the writer is intellectually dishonest... this poll does not say, "if not Hillary, then Palin." Elizabeth Warren, Condoleezza Rice and Sarah Palin pretty much came out even with one another...

The Economist/YouGov poll asked participants which female candidate — other than Hillary Clinton — they’d like to see run for the high office.

Propaganda, period. The reason they excluded Hillary from the poll is that the vast majority of voters actually do not want Hillary Clinton for president. Otherwise, Hillary would have been included in the poll.

I love her. I admire her. I wish I were more like her. Failing that, I wish my daughter will become more like her.

That said, I would really rather see Ted Cruz as president. He is authoritative and would command international respect (or fear) immediately; a woman, no matter how admirable, would have to prove herself to the misogynists. That takes time.

It would be wonderful if President Cruz, the first Hispanic president, would appoint Governor Palin as Secretary of State. This would be immensely valuable to her formation. She has many years in which she could be president, later.

I like Palin, but 9% is not significant, even if it’s the top.
