Some parents would gasp at the thought of their children playing with a toy gun, but these Russian children are actually encouraged to take up real arms.

Military sports club, 'Berkut', (meaning golden eagle), trains up young Russian, who dream of joining the elite units of the Russian army and fighting under the command of President Vladimir Putin.

A young boy is pictured on their website brandishing a hand gun and dressed in military fatigues with his finger over the trigger.

Cuties, mostly. If somebody had offered me a chance to parachute at that age I'd have crawled over broken glass.

The concerned reporters at the Mail would probably hyperventilate if they saw any of my neighbors' kids' paintball tournaments. Almost all of them can shoot real guns. None of them appear permanently damaged by it.

Boy, the propaganda machine is just spitting this crap out.

It kind of feels like the 80s all over again.

Parents “gasping” at the thought of their kids handling guns is a real problem in our country. My dad taught me to shoot before he taught me to ride a bike. My crazy ex-sister in law wouldn’t let my nephew have even a toy gun. Sure enough he was using sticks he found in the yard as guns.

It’s natural.

God bless Russia. Russians have been fighting monsters far longer than most nation states. OTOH The US military stinks of pc cabals. BTW...I do feel immensely sorry for the good guys left in the U.S. military.

Unfortunately, Russia has been the monster for many of those years.

I recall seeing all this not so long ago, in a far away land. The hand book was called “Pimpf-im-Dienst”, and it became mandatory at the age of 14 to join. The hand book even showed how to throw a potato masher, aka stick grenade. The parallels are becoming obvious.

My boys would have LOVED it, they played guns, knives, swords and yes, I bought them toy guns, bebe guns and rifles. They can shoot alright. I even have pics of my daughter looking like Annie Oakley with a bebe gun bigger than she is.

I was never politically correct.

Um, around here American children are encouraged to do the same. I guess that would also shock the readers of the Daily Mail.

Add shooting real military grade guns and rugged hiking and you have an absolutely compulsively attractive program for the very kind of aggressive, masculine young male who’s perfect for a military career. Also, imagine what happens when these kids return to school tanned, fit, and proud as punch of what they did and tell about it. They’ll be at the top of the pile with their peers. Before BSA became Boy Sodomites of America the Boy Scouts did a lot of that. Now the new merit badge is “Fudge Packing,” not exactly an incentive for masculine, risk taking recruits.

My stepdaughter has commisioned me to build a match grade .22 rifle for my grandaughter. She is ten (months) old. I am blessed.
