‘Is It Preposterous’ to Think a Black Hole Caused Flight 370 to Go Missing?
mediaite.com ^ | March 19th, 2014 | Josh Feldman

CNN’s Don Lemon has been entertaining all sorts of theories about the missing Malaysian Airlines Flight 370, including the chance something “supernatural” happened, but on Wednesday night, he actually asked panelists about the possibility a black hole was involved.

That's what I thought.

If black holes are real, they DON'T just suck single planes up.

They would spoil EVERYONE'S day if it came within a light year of earth.

And I would take a stab that scientists would have "noticed" one anywhere near our solar system.

Is Don Lemon really this stupid?

Theoretically black holes could even be tiny enough to hardly be noticed passing by

Also such little black holes would not create much of a disturbance.

You’re right, but actually a normal-sized black hole (around 5 solar masses or so) would pose no danger a light year from earth because gravitationally, they behave no differently than an ordinary star of that mass. Any star could be an Earth-killer if it wandered into the solar system. A black hole is (usually) only especially dangerous at very short distances, where the tidal forces can “spaghettify” anything, pulling it apart into its constituent atoms, while friction heats and converts a lot of it to radiation before even hitting the event horizon.

In short, black holes are not as dangerous as is the popular misconception, unless the proximity to one is less than astronomical. Then it’s phenomenally more dangerous than just about anything in the universe. The only exception to this is when a black hole is in the process of gobbling something up, which is rare. Then the resulting radiation can be deadly over much larger distances.

How about “tiny” black holes.

How about this, Air Force One is tooling along one day, Obama heads to the cockpit with is selected personal bodyguards.
Of which all have been intensely trained on flight simulators.
They take over AF1 without squawking a 7700, any comms asking why a flight path deviation is countered by “Executive Orders” so nobody has a clue who is in charge.

A fully loaded 747 then crashes right into the Nuclear Summit in Hague on March 34th.

There is no known mechanism today for producing a “tiny” black hole. But Stephen Hawking predicted the existance of “quantum black holes”, artifacts of the early universe, weighting about a mountain but the size of a proton. According to him, they should still be wandering randomly around the universe. But they certainly couldn’t swallow an airplane whole and make it disappear. They could punch a hole through one, however, or rip one apart.

I am fairly certain there is one lurking around in the back of my sock drawer...

I wish FR had an edit option, because according to “chatter” the date MARCH 24th has some form if intense interest to the ROP.

So I made a boo boo by typing 34th.

If you’re referring to the “missing sock” phenomenon, I’m pretty sure aliens are to blame. They must use only the left (or right) sock to fuel their spacecraft or something, but not the other one, for some unknown reason. I’ll have to call George Noory and see if he knows anything. I’ve left sock traps for them, btw, but apparently they’re too smart to fall for it.

I think you are on to something. It explains why those buggers visit people in their homes and get them all riled up over being "probed" and such. Its just cover for the real plot which is installing Quantum Black Holes in the back of their victim's sock drawers. They just install the other end of the QBH in their spaceships and have an unlimited power source!

I never considered that. I guess I’ll just let them have the socks and call it even.

Black holes aren’t the only ignored possibility. There has been startling little consideration of alien abduction. Or Mothra.
