The GOP Establishment Wants to Run on Fixing -- Not Repealing -- Obamacare (Rush Limbaugh)
The Rush Limbaugh Show ^ | March 14, 2014 | Rush Limbaugh

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I've got so much stuff here today, folks, and I'm trying to figure out which I want to do first. Here's Obama with deportations, and here's Obama with determining who gets overtime, all of this is a distraction. It's all a distraction from what's happening with the economy and with Obamacare. I guess this is the big deal to me. We have this massive electoral victory on Tuesday in Florida, Florida 13. And I'll be damned if the Republican establishment is not doing its best in high gear to tell everybody, "Hey, don't think that Obamacare was the main factor here."

It is becoming clear to me -- not that it needs to be any more clear -- that the Republican establishment does not want to run against Obamacare. Karl Rove has a column today. Karl Rove is on TV this morning on Fox, but there are others in the Republican establishment saying, "Hey, hey! You know, it wasn't just about Obamacare," and I've heard other members in the Republican establishment say that David Jolly did not say repeal.

They want to fix it with amnesty. There. If there is a problem, there is no problem.

Indeed, the GoPe does not even reach to illegals or anyone, they ask the Democrates to be their clearing house in bipartisan manner.

Completely useless party.

If you come along as a Republican and offer "fixes" for this, that's not going to help you as the Republican. It's gonna help the Democrats.

The laws of systemantics state that large, complicated, and complex man made systems in general work poorly or don't work at all because they tend to oppose their own proper function, and the people in the system do not do what the system says they are doing, and the system itself doesn't do what it says it is doing.

A complex system that is functioning in failure mode cannot be made to work because a large complex system can fail in an infinite number of ways, and either the solutions to the problems do not work or they cause new problems that are worse than the original problem.

Since a complex system cannot be made to work, trying to fix it is a waste of time and money. It is better to start over from scratch.

A party that wanted to repeal Obamacare would never have had Mitt Romney as its Presidential nominee.

The guy {Jolly} did not campaign on fixing it, as was said today. He campaigned on repeal and replace. It was the Democrat Alex Sink who ran on fixing it, and she lost.

Rush is right - it was Sink who ran on fixing Obamacare. She ran on the lie that Republicans would destroy Social Security. I suspect democrats have used that lie once too often... Sink also did the 'I'm running against a conservative white man'... I think that backfired on her.

Everett McKinley Dirksen at the 1952 Republican national convention, “We followed you before and you took us down the road to defeat!”

Dirksen was a strong supporter of Robert Taft, the essence of Republican conservatism of the time, and was not at all in favor of the nomination of Eisenhower, who could not honestly say whether he was a Republican or not before he was virtually drafted by the RNC. But once Eisenhower did get elected, he and Dirksen forged a strong and able practice of governance that put the brand on the 1950’s as a relatively prosperous and traditional American decade.

No, not encouraging but seriously stupid & self defeating of them. People HATE this law. Venemous ranting & raving type hate. We all know the tactic of the left to publish “polls” claiming that it’s “gaining” in popularity. Also that it’s bull woogie.

If these guys are that dumb/ gullible, they shouldn’t be in Washington, anyway.

Regarding the GOP RINOs "fixing" Obamacare Democratcare, please consider the following.

Regardless that the states have never delegated to Congress, via the Constituiton, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for public healthcare purposes, and regardless that House RINOs have read Congress's Article I, Section 8-limited powers at the beginning of the last two new legislative sessions and know that healthcare isn't one of those powers, just like Obama guard dog Fx News, the GOP hasn't lifted a finger to emphasize major constitutional problems with Obamacare Democratcare to voters' attention.

So all that the corrupt GOP RINOs are giving us concerning constitutionally indefensible Obamacare Democratcare is a dog-and-pony show imo.

What the RINOs need to do if they really want to fix Democratcare is the following. They need to quit ignoring the Constitution's Article V which they swore to protect and defend and propose a healthcare amendment to the Constitution to the states for ratification. And if the states choose to ratify such an amendment then RINOs will have the constitutional authority that they need to fix Democratcare.

Remember in November!

This is a symptom of the GOPe’s continued tone deafness. This law is a raging POS. The establishment GOP have no political savvy whatsoever. They let political consultants control their messaging.

A prescription to toss the next election just like they did 2008 and 2012. Losers. They. Like to lose and lose and lose and lose and all they’ll wind up doing is electing Hillary.

Yes and every month more people are getting kicked off their policies. It looks like Obama is more or less dismantling the law himself. Every week he has to back off on part of it. He will prolly end up taking credit for repealing it. :-)
