CINCINNATI -- Fans of Chipotle may soon have to say goodbye to their beloved guacamole, the company said in its latest annual report.
The Mexican fast food chain announced in recent Securities and Exchange Commission filings it could temporarily suspend sales of guacamole and some salsas due to an increase in food costs.
Those increases are being caused by global warming, the Denver-based chain said.

Sadly the price of water has been rising for many years forcing growers in Fallbrook,CA., home of the avocado highway, to let groves die left and right. Amnd then there was the horrendous fire that that consumed many acres of trees

This site has avacado pricing history. They actually cost ten percent less ten years ago. Complete bs.
The enzymes, maybe, some have it. I am the boy in the bubble when it comes to that stuff. There is no headache like a three day one induced by a big dose of it. I know all the synonyms for it
But, no, I am wrong, I’m not seeing MSG. I think I’m going to give it a shot, actually
LOL!
Not a fan. Won’t bother me in the least. Now, if they could reduce their prices a little to make up for this, I wouldn’t mind that either.
There has been a flood of Hass avocados coming in from new large farms in Mexico. I see the lower avocado prices in supermarkets though I get some from people who grow them in backyards, I have two trees myself that are up and coming
Chipotle is about to jc penny itself.
“The company also claims that its ingredients are grown on farms within 350 miles of the restaurant they are served.”
Like, avocados are grown in every state, right?
Chipotle is a liberal owned business so its no surprise they follow the socialist mindset and do their part in supporting the false global warming phenomenon. All the regulations and green industries that sprout from it create a great regulatory fee windfall for the feds so they are going to ride this horse as long as they can.
Avocados are mostly grown in California and Florida. How do they supply Denver,Chicago, NYC ...?
“Have you ever been to Denver?”
Yeah, I used to have a plant in Montbello (aka Montghetto).
But I just imagine these folks HQ is in Boulder. They would fit right in there.
The Barrows, Alaska avocados, are the best.
Stupidest thing ever said, huh? Avocados don’t like cold weather are are very persnickety about sudden cold snaps. The warmer the better for those green jewels.
I stopped at the fruit stand down the street from our boat in Ventura and bought 5 for $4. Nice sized ones too. Chipotle is full of bologna.

El toro shito.
I thought they were up and coming too. Man, meltdown...
disappointing
That is such a load of utter BS...
Plenty of guacamole, not overly priced.
I think I hear a whiney liberal screeching about a non-issue to push their commie agenda to attract attention to themselves.
nuthin new there...
