WBAP lost? No WBAP has actually gained, they got a 2.6 share up from 2.5.

Everyone knew WOR will benefit from Rush and somewhat from Hannity, WOR was irrelevant in the afternoon, (mornings they had Gambling) it was just awful programming. That’s not the way to look at it.

My mistake. Re-reading the article, it notes that Hannity gained audience (age 25-54) for his new outlets in Dallas and Los Angeles. But it does not assert that WBAP lost audience, as WABC/New York did.

Savage?

Um no. Savage is (strongly) anti-Palin I believe.

Which I suppose, is why I am not for Savage.

I know, anti-Palin and pro-Brown, Savage is a phony that just plays a kind of gruff sounding game as a pretend right winger.

I liked some of Batchelor’s topics and guests, like Gordon Chang, but he’s definitely a moderate. And there’s his voice and delivery...it’s so, well, you know. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Didnt he donate to Gavin Newsom too?

I agree that’s a few years in the past now, so here’s some more recent stuff.
He’s decided that movie theaters should be gun-free zones with metal detectors. That would really put the final nail in the theatre business’ coffin and drive people to Netflix, wouldn’t it?
But you know what finally did it for me? He called Ted Cruz a snake.

You’re being sarcastic, right? He’s softened his attitude toward her over the past 5 1/2 years, but when she first came on the scene, he said the Palin family looked like an episode of Cops on the stage, and begged McCain to get rid of her.(Dont know if there’s a precedent for that.) he claimed that she must have been forced on him and compared her unfavorably to Biden.

He also embarrassed Michele Bachmann by knocking Palin in an interview and I suspect that may be why Bachmann doesn’t come on his show anymore.

Is that what he said? I had heard that he had some justification, but never knew exactly what it was.

You know what I think it may have been? Social climbing. He’s ways bitching about how the San Franciscans think their city has the cachet of New Orleans but it really doesn’t, blah, blah and he ridicules the parties, the museum exhibits, the newspaper, etc. But in reality he would like to be invited to the parties. Savage, I hope you’re readi g this, you old *#%!!

Hannity has fallen in line with other "conservatives" like John McCain, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich and Lindsey Graham by endorsing amnesty for the hordes of ILLEGAL invaders. He said, “We’ve got to get rid of the immigration issue altogether. It’s simple to me to fix it. I think you control the border first. You create a pathway for those people that are here. You don’t say you’ve got to go home."

I realize your definition of what is conservative may differ from mine. But mine does not include McCain, Huckabee, Gingrich, Graham or any form of amnesty.

My problem then seems to relate to their absence from FM; can’t get AM on my car radio any more.

I agree. Being around people who argue all the time (family members or co-workers) is stressful, not enjoyable. All too often I mute the volume to avoid listening to it and forget to go back to it again. Like you said, it’s out of hand and unlistenable.

I am listening now to the Friday archive Feb 21. Mike talks about Wall Banger and the super pac he apparently supports?

I assume it is the Rove super pac.

“Then on Sunday, author Bob Woodward likened Rove’s effort to quash extremely conservative candidates to the activity of the Soviet Union’s Politburo.

The criticism of Rove began with the decision of his American Crossroads group to start a new super PAC – Conservative Victory Group – to prevent extremely conservative candidates from winning Republican primaries.

Plenty of Republican leaders have expressed their dismay since then. Newt Gingrich offered a particularly scathing assessment Wednesday in an op-ed piece on Human Events’ website.

“I am unalterably opposed to a bunch of billionaires financing a boss to pick candidates in 50 states,” Gingrich wrote. “This is the opposite of the Republican tradition of freedom and grassroots, small-town conservatism.

“Handing millions to Washington-based consultants to destroy the candidates they dislike and nominate the candidates they do like is an invitation to cronyism, favoritism and corruption.”

Iowa GOP Gov. Terry Branstad also took a shot at the 62-year-old strategist. “I basically told Karl Rove that what he was doing is counterproductive and he needs to stay out of it,” Branstad said, describing a phone call between the two, according to The Huffington Post.
