Death and hell are thrown into the lake of fire in the end.

Jesus talked a lot about eternal torment. Was He wrong?

Some Christians say good people who never get the gospel of Christ will burn in hell forever. I find that disturbing.

Who is good?

And what criteria do you use to define it?

Did not God say that the soul that sins dies?

WE'RE the ones with the warped definition of what *good* is. It isn't the same as God's.

HIS standard is absolute perfection.

Luke 18:18-19 And a ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.

The steps to hopelessness come slow but they do come caution must be used when dealing with the future so don’t over react.

“Jesus talked a lot about eternal torment. Was He wrong?”

He also said the soul that sins dies. So our soul still feels pain after it’s death?

Is there something about the word *torment* that escapes you?

I’m sure there will be the mental, emotional, spiritual torment of regret, but Scripture is quite clear that there’s physical torment as well. The rich man who was in hell said he was in agony (anguish) in the flame and asked for a drop of water to cool his tongue. That sounds like torment to me.

Seems like I recall something about the Good Samaritan in the Bible. Is that just rubbish?

2 Peter 2:4
For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment;

Hell here seems to consist of dungeons.

Lot of stories out there of people who have had their arms amputated but they still feel pain in their fingers (which aren't there)...

caution must be used when dealing with the future

God gives us one day at a time and HE says the day of salvation is NOW. How presumptuous of you to think you have a future to 'deal' with.

so don’t over react.

You say you are in hell NOW and then say I'm over reacting?? Clearly some are just hell bent to learn the hard way for eternity.

“A belief in hell is not required to be a Christian,”.......Thank you!.........

So a 'thank you' goes to one who tickled your ears.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from The Truth and will turn aside to MYTHS."

And that time is here! The same ones claim to be Christian as they were fed a 'lie' by man/evil and swallowed it hook, line and SINKER!

DManA says: I’m a Christian. Hell is a myth.

Show me where it says a belief in hell is necessary to be saved.

but it’s really none of your business.

But is is my business and you made it my business. Post an untruth about Jesus The Word, just know a Christian will rebuke it and expose the lie. Get used to it.

You actually think a Christian will allow satan his happy dance when someone goes against The WORD of God? It won't happen on my watch.

You don't believe what you have already been shown. First of all, you implied God was unfair for sending good people to hell and how things 'disturb you' and only rejoice when you get your ears tickled.

And picking out Scriptures asking me which is it - fire or dungeon? You don't get to learn that way - seems all you want is a 'get out of hell card' and want nothing to do with learning about Jesus and having a personal relationship with God. YOU have to undo your 'critical thinking' mindset and get out of whatever 'man made teaching' religion which has misled you. The ball is in your court - no one else's. Take responsibility for it.

Jesus died so we all can have a personal relationship with God and taking our sin nature away needed to be done since it kept us from HIM. JESUS PAID A HUGH PRICE - a sinless man who only became flesh to save us and reunite us with God. Something HE did NOT have to do.....TOTALLY UNMERITED FAVOR for sinners and you dare imply He is unfair. Don't you ever ever imply such again. Tear out your tongue if you have to!!

Show me where it says a belief in hell is necessary to be saved.

Show me where it says to NOT BELIEVE GOD/His WORD and you will be saved. Go ask your 'christian ear tickler' and the 'christian myth poster', I'm sure they will help you find it.

Here's an example of those who 'thought they were christian' and 'acted' like it also and were turned away.

Matthew 7:21 – 23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Do you really believe spreading lies/NOT BELIEVING and 'critical thinking' spiritual TRUTH and calling what is Truth a myth is the will of The Father? What chance do you think 'those Christians' have?

Saying what God says in His Word is a myth..... don’t count on it.

There you go again. Judging my soul. You should pray seriously about why you are doing this.

How can someone be a follower of Christ and not believe what He told us?

There’s a real disconnect there.

Couldn’t do it, could you?

And by the way, Jesus is my personal Savior.
