“Jesus talked a lot about eternal torment. Was He wrong?”
He also said the soul that sins dies. So our soul still feels pain after it’s death?
Is there something about the word *torment* that escapes you?
I’m sure there will be the mental, emotional, spiritual torment of regret, but Scripture is quite clear that there’s physical torment as well. The rich man who was in hell said he was in agony (anguish) in the flame and asked for a drop of water to cool his tongue. That sounds like torment to me.
Lot of stories out there of people who have had their arms amputated but they still feel pain in their fingers (which aren't there)...
