Another leftist fleabag goes home. I doubt we can field anyone in this district. Shame.

Only 68? Must have a great lobbying job lined up. I thought these locked in Democrats signed a secret document pledge to go from the Capitol building to the mortuary.

Forty years in Congress. This is what is a major wrong with the institution.

all those years of “service” for a measly pension of ~$139,000 per year.

What conscience? This worthless jerk and his fellow “post-Watergate” congressthings f***ed this nation completely over.
Hope the condors gather around Miller like real soon.

Considering that district (I grew up in that area), his replacement will probably be worse. What are the bets on whether Sunne McPeak will move back to Contra Costa?

Forty years in Congress. This is what is a major wrong with the institution There are as many Republicans who have been in as long. Bill Young was in 43 years. Thad Cochran's been in almost 40 as a congressman and senator. It just isn't the Dems.
To: DoodleDawg
I agree. I believe that a hard limit of 12 years total as an elected official in any level is more than enough for anyone.
Spend 2 years in congress and only serve one total term in the Senate. Spend eight years as a mayor and you are limited to four years in the State or Federal Congress.
After leaving public service, banned from lobbing or taking ANY government job at any level for minimum of ten years. .

I will leave Congress with a full heart and a crowded plate ...
... not to mention his full, crowded and overflowing bank account.
