No one who watched that with dismay, and many did, and with great dismay, is going to care one bit about him. Just the media making it out to be like the IRS going over to Benghazi shooting those state dept folks and giving their guns to holder to hand over to the Mexicans on the order of BO in the Oval Office hanging out with al q then going to vegas only making the Christie thing worse because and only because he says he’s republican

The fact is that at best, Chris Christie is conservative...for New Jersey. I don’t think that was enough for him before, and I think it’s going to be even less so once the knives really come out.
But if Christie is anointed the Republican nominee, I still won't vote for him. I will write in my cat before I vote for this liberal traitor.
One suspects that the reason for Mister Christie's chumminess w Mister Obama late in the '12 election may have been to throw (intentionally) the election to Obama, thus giving him (Christie) the advantage for gaining GOP nomination in '16.

Yep, it drove a wedge between him and the conservative part of the GOP and screwed Romney for no good reason. Lousy judgement, just like with staffers who think they’re doing him a favor by screwing a political enemy.
There’s a bunch of FReepers who think his performance yesterday was the epitome of crisis management. Show me one expert who agrees that anyone benefits from a nearly 2 hour press conference. Firing one person which was a no-brainer in the first place won’t buy him anything; the MSM will not stop until they bring him down over this. Look for lawsuits and impeachment or a recall effort next. It matters not whether there is merit, but this fiasco makes it open season on Christie and remember, they’re the ones who by ink by the barrel.
I’d rather the Marxists destroy CC now, than have to watch him drag his fat slobby butt around for another 1.5 years until they destroy him anyway.

I see a lot of exploitation of conservative resentment of the liberal media going on from the GOPe political and media machines (Fox News with Rudy G this morning and Hasselbeck’s headline at 8 about the “mainstream media attacking Chris Christie”) to help him circle the wagons.
It had been my perception that he thought him being seen with Obama would add stature to his persona in the public’s mind. That seemed his goal to me.
He was trying to ride the cresting wave after the hurricane.
Christie is a great example of why we need to be very careful about tossing our support behind someone based on too little overall information.
Three years ago and the guy was golden in some folk’s minds.
