First of all, you don’t want to give a guy like Obama a photo op he can game at your party’s and efforts’ expense.

One suspects that the reason for Mister Christie's chumminess w Mister Obama late in the '12 election may have been to throw (intentionally) the election to Obama, thus giving him (Christie) the advantage for gaining GOP nomination in '16.

Is Mister Christie that selfish and dirty?

Yes, one suspects.

It had been my perception that he thought him being seen with Obama would add stature to his persona in the public’s mind. That seemed his goal to me.

He was trying to ride the cresting wave after the hurricane.

Christie is a great example of why we need to be very careful about tossing our support behind someone based on too little overall information.

Three years ago and the guy was golden in some folk’s minds.

Yes...look at his keynote speech for Romney, it was a keynote speech for Christie. .
