Cracker Barrel pulls 'Duck Dynasty' merchandise

I thought that “Duck Dynasty” merchandise was owned by A&E, with “Duck Commander” merchandise being owned by the Robinson family.

It may be that Cracker Barrel is, inadvertantly, supporting the pro-Phil boycott of A&E.

I hope we're now past any ill-feeling since I clarified my objection to the "Social Responsibility" page used by Cracker Barrel. To reiterate, I thought the black boy pictured was used as prop much like obama is now doing with his contrived display of Christmas ornaments at the White House. Liberals are very big on such false displays and tokenism.

Anyway, I see that you're stuck up in Massachusetts (wrongly pronounced as Mass-a-TWO-shuts by obama). That reminds me of a visit to a restaurant up there a few year ago at a not-so-aptly named "Friendly's" restaurant near Watertown, MA, I committed the crime of driving while Texan. As I pulled into the parking lot with my Texas plates, a family of four (dad, mother and two kids) was coming out and saw my car. Without provocation, both the husband and wife confronted me about being from Texas. "So, you're from the Kennedy killing state!" and "I bet you cowboys down there had a party when Teddy died". I was told in a profanity-laced tirade that we "right-wing, redneck Texans" weren't welcome in their fine Commonwealth.

Sure, it was one isolated incident in this case. But there were numerous times I was greeted with a middle-finger salute by proud citizens on the traffic circles on Route 6, doubtlessly because of my Texas plates as well as my Sarah Palin and NOBAMA window stickers.

Good, now I can scratch C/B from my list of approved dining places and replace it with Chicken Shack. I don't know if you are familiar with Chicken Shack but in Las Vegas it rocks. I mean it is packed and a long waiting line.

Exactly. I was going to try and get Duck Commander stuff before Christmas but thought I had to order it. Great I can go and get some stocking stuffers from Craker Barrel.

We just ordered and paid for Christmas take out from CB. On Monday we
will go cancel our order get refund and try Bill Miller BBQ if they are still
taking orders.
I hope we can stand up and be strong on this no matter the trouble.

Isn't it, though? I've had it. I guess Cracker Barrel goes to extremes to to avoid the "cracker" image. This cracker has plenty of lunch time alternatives.

Cracker Barrel said it pulled some Duck Dynasty merchandise from its stores over concerns it might offend guests, a move that infuriated thousands of customers and confused many others...eventually these companies may be bright enough to understand that they actually do offend many more people by taking certain actions than they would ever potentially offend by not taking them....

Cracker Barrel's once-crusty, large baking powder biscuits of yore are now small, cookie-cutter mass-produced, almost unedible lumps of underbaked dough....the once-delicious, quality flapjacks are now duplicates of the tasteless, air-filled buttermilk-type pancakes sold by the cheapest restaurants.......not ONE cook in the entire CB chain knows how to make fluffy scrambled eggs all of which come out looking and tasting like a dried-out, plain omelet, it's like eating yellow frisbees....I could go on about the management cheapening down the very menu selections which made its restaurants popular in the first place.

There's a growing list of reasons why never to eat at CB again, even if the Duck Dynasty travesty never happened.

offended many of our loyal customers. Our intent was to avoid offending, but
that’s just what we’ve done.

You told us we made a mistake. And, you weren’t shy about it. You wrote, you

You flat out told us we were wrong.

Today, we are putting all our Duck Dynasty products back in our stores.
