I’m glad the GOP finally wised up to electoral realities and took an issue off of the table for the leftists to whine about all summer long.

Win the election, fix the system. Taking the budget battle away from the Leftists now instead of letting it fester into 2014 is smart - IF that’s what happens when they take both houses of Congress in 2015.

Don't think for a second this deal won't be revisited by whoever wins the 2014 midterms. Don't be naive. Whether or not anything comes of it we'll see.

There is a difference between conservative politics and electoral politics. The GOP has always had an issue in determining when to use which - one wins supporters, the other wins elections. It's basically 2014, it's time to win elections. The leftists have understood this since 1994.
