Sowell: A Very Dangerous Game

New York City police authorities are investigating a series of unprovoked physical attacks in public places on people who are Jewish, in the form of what is called "the knockout game."

The way the game is played, one of a number of young blacks decides to show that he can knock down some stranger on the streets, preferably with one punch, as they pass by. Often some other member of the group records the event, so that a video of that "achievement" is put on the Internet, to be celebrated.

The New York authorities describe a recent series of such attacks and, because Jews have been singled out in these attacks, are considering prosecuting these assaults as "hate crimes."

Many aspects of these crimes are extremely painful to think about, including the fact that responsible authorities in New York seem to have been caught by surprise, even though this "knockout game" has been played for years by young black gangs in other cities and other states, against people besides Jews — the victims being either whites in general or people of Asian ancestry.

Attacks of this sort have been rampant in St. Louis. But they have also occurred in Massachusetts, Wisconsin and elsewhere. In Illinois the game has often been called "Polar Bear Hunting" by the young thugs, presumably because the targets are white.

The main reason for many people's surprise is that the mainstream media have usually suppressed news about the "knockout game" or about other and larger forms of similar orchestrated racial violence in dozens of cities in every region of the country...

Maybe we need to have a dignified public hanging of the perps (complete with hymn singing) and post that on the internet. If the victim survives with no permanent damage, then we can give them just enough rope to drop a couple of inches and cut them down after we're sufficiently entertained by their dancing.

Thomas Sowell does a great job. Thing that troubles me is he can do this as a black man, but whites must be afraid to complain that they are being targeted for racial attacks.
This stuff has to stop, you target someone racially you are a racist as well as a criminal and need to be called out and arrested for this behavior.

Imagine for a minute that the knockout game targeted blacks. No need to imagine it as isolated unprovoked sniper shots that often proved fatal. (like the knockout game often is)

Just imagine that the roles were reversed. It would be a national crisis on the order of the DC snipers a few years ago. But its only older white people now,,,,,

Some in the media, as well as in politics, may think that they are trying to avoid provoking a race war by ignoring or playing down these attacks. But the way to prevent a race war is by stopping these attacks, not trying to sanitize them

I read a very sad and sobering article by Dr Sowell over the weekend. He said in it that he was glad to be old because maybe he wouldn't live to see the all out race war that he thinks is coming. In fact he argued that thi 'knockout game' is a manifestation of the race war being waged by urban blaks on whites already.

“Responsible people of all races need to support a crackdown on these attacks, which can provoke a white backlash that can escalate into a race war. But political expediency leads in the opposite direction.” ... Apparently Dr. Sowell has yet to admit that the regime is working hard to bring about the ‘race war’ excuse for martial law. Normal Bias can be a tough nut to crack, even in a brilliant mind. Normalcy is a sliding scale dontchaknow.

Good point. There are few that I’ve seen really speak out on this whereas everyone should be. Let it be known by all from the President on down that these thugs will prosecuted and given max sentences if convicted. I know this won’t happen with 0bama, Holder, liberals and even many whites.

How do you ‘consider’ prosecuting? Obviously not. What this means, is, ‘I’ll say it and see if the public outcry is too much for the politicians above me to handle, and if they tell me to drop the charges I will.

When this generation of Whites die off, the United States will begin a slow ,at first, back to the dark ages. The vast majority of the young [under 45] cannot survive on their own. To illustrate: Around where I live a number of the older farmers died and left their farming operation[s] to their children. Most of these farms are now out of business and owned by the banks because the farmer's children did not know how to manage them and the same with some other businesses that I know of.

It goes without saying that some Blacks in New York city that only knows how to live off food stamps and welfare is not going to make it once when the golden goose or actually the White goose is killed. They need to be careful what they pray for.
