I don’t believe the story one bit. They talk about SEALS and then show pictures of Airborne. After the hoax of the Halloween notes to kids who are fat, I think we need to be suspect of all news for a few days. We may have to start being suspect of all news articles around Halloween for awhile.

I went about 10 pages deep into the navy.mil archive, found an Oct 29 pic of the USS Princeton (CG-59) about to tie up with a sailor on the bow clearly holding and about to hoist the First (aka don’t tread on me) Naval Jack.

This is getting beyond bizarre. My outrage continues about Extortion 17 where many SEALs, including a Freeper were killed. I don’t know where we’re headed, but a lot of people are livid, just like you and Dr.O.

He graduated from the Academy (with McCain) but took his Commission is the USAF. The AF didn’t have its own academy in those days.

While it is probably true that the slogan is the target, the ‘Don’t Tread on Me flag in question is not the one used by the Tea Party.

The Tea Party has adopted the Gadsden Flag as one of their symbols.

The flag the SEALs have/had on their uniforms is the First Navy Jack.
