This was a shock, almost unthinkable at the start of the day.
I’m glad, and Cameron now has suffered huge embarrassment. I’m not sure anything like this has ever happened in our parliament, at least in recent history (last hundred years)....I could be wrong however.

I guess this might be a stupid question, but when a vote fails like this, does that mean the government has to resign or elections are called?
