Wait - he actually asked Parliament? Too bad the Brits have that pesky representative government thing there instead of the monarchy we have in the United States, where 0bama doesn’t have to ask anybody.

” he actually asked Parliament? “

Obama is probably thinking that he sure as hell is not gonna make that mistake.

It might be too late for him to back down now without losing face.

This was a shock, almost unthinkable at the start of the day.

I’m glad, and Cameron now has suffered huge embarrassment. I’m not sure anything like this has ever happened in our parliament, at least in recent history (last hundred years)....I could be wrong however.

272 British MPs voted for action in Syria? That’s actually scary.

The ironic part is the Britain does not have a written constitution and the US does.

Should a no-confidence vote be next?

Hell of a coalition Obama has put together.

Actually, Obama was being pressured by Cameron and Holland to act. He was leading from behind. I suspect Obama will back down and not act "unilaterally." He will point to the UK vote and recent remarks from France that they must determine who initiated the chemical attack.

Obama is made to look like a fool again on the world stage. So much for firing a shot across the bow of Syria.

The UN report hasn’t even come out and Obama and Cameron want to
start lobbing missiles into Syria.

Where is John Boehner? Where is Eric Cantor? Where is Mitch McConnell?

Why isn’t congress being recalled to vote on this farce?

In my biased opinion yes, but in reality he will limp on until the next election where he will perform very badly.

If UKIP do well enough next year at European elections, he could be ousted, and for the record they were the only of the main parties to oppose action.
