I’m not calling for LVR to be Zotted. I just think he’s buying into the hoplophobia of the gun haters and is acting like a jackass.

Would that pastor Terry put so much thought and energy into preaching the Gospel ... it might be more productive.

As for his stunt, I think he’s just being an attention w*. One could just as easily “open carry” a 10/22 or muzzle loader if one’s purpose is to ‘educate’ people rather than to attempt to draw negative reactions.

Stay in NY.

Seriously.

Real freedom would give you an outright heart attack.

re: Las Vegas Ron - Just remember what helped to make this nation the best for so long is the right to express ones own personal opinion no matter how stupid it might appear to other folks.

Thank you for your support.

I simply question the way this guy is going about it, not his right to do it.

It's taken many years to get to this point, I don't think it can be changed over night.

The one thing the libs (Fabians) understand is incrementalism, we have to use the same approach if we want to avoid blood shed....unless it is our LAST alternative.

I am all ears when it come to ideas on how to achieve our goals in turning back to Constitutional Government.

I could be persuaded that perhaps I'm wrong, that this approach might work, but self anointed FReepers stoop to name calling and accusations rather than engage in polite, respectful conversation.

Some have said this is a conservative site, it is, but my opinion of conservative discussion/activism means we discuss the best way to achieve our goals.

When you want to engage in a polite dialogue on how to achieve a Constitutional Government, a peoples who are educated as such, let me know. I don't think this guy's actions were the right way.

He wasn't simply exercising his 2nd Amendment right, he deliberately went into a crowded store with a camera man in tow to film the ensuing panic

If you can't discuss the matter with due respect, save your effort in responding.

This guy is a stupid attention whore. Just trying to push it and be obnoxious. I don't care what gun laws are what, you don't walk through a store with ordinary people and KIDS in it with a possibly loaded rifle on your freaking back.

I do it everyday with a pistol.

Am I a complete jerk too?

NO you're not a jerk, but do you have a camera man following you around to film peoples reaction so you can post it on YT or do you carry for legitimate self defense?

This guy seems to be deliberately provocative.

You expect Walmart customers to assault you? Do you wear your pistol outside your clothing so everyone can see it? Then you are also providing the anti-gun people with excellent material.

I don't call it real freedom to walk around with an assault weapon among ordinary people who are just shopping. I call it pushing the envelope. It's equivalent to a Moslem woman applying for and getting a job and then, when told to ditch her hijab, bringing a lawsuit against her employer. She was looking for trouble and so was this guy.

There is, however, real freedom between your ears. Nothing there to take up space.

I will live wherever the hell I want to. Thank you for your concern. Seriously.

“So yes. There should be limitations on walking around WalMart with an AR 15.”

There are. They told him to leave. He did.

He won’t be going back, unless corporate HQ spanks the local management, which seems plausible.

Huh?

Open carry is perfectly legal here, unlike your freak state of NY. I OC everywhere I can and have never received a bad word for doing so.....in fact the opposite.

Does your "logic" apply to cops too? And if not, why not?

(Please wall yourself and your thoughts in NY)

You are really a hoot. You spout off your mouth about freedom, freedom, freedom, yet you would try to deny me my opinion AND try to dictate to me where to live.

Hypocrite.

Run along now, and look both ways before you cross the street.

I have nothing against OC but think CC is a preferred option...for a host of reasons I won't go into right now.

I've been here in Vegas for 13 years now, I have seen exactly one person open carry. Conversely, I visit my Dad in Arizona and have seen multiple occasions of open carry, even accidental reveals.

I guess my point is that some places it acceptable and others not so much so.

We need to change the culture...how we do it is up for debate.
