If we elect TRUE conservatives who shut down most of the business strangling agencies, regulations and programs (IRS, EPA, Obamacare, etc), business WOULD come back here. We have the greatest country in the world. Its just been suffocating under the burden of socialism for 25 years.

I left the GOP in 1996. My only question is what’s taking everybody so long to accept the simple truth that the Pubbies aren’t conservatives. Extreme denial by my fellow conservatives. It’s really amazing how much abuse rank and file GOPers are willing to take.

“They have treated me and my fellow conservatives like battered wives for 24 years and 5 months now.” We’ve been treated that way as long as we’ve been alive. The time to put a stop to it is long past. I’d jump in wherever she lands without any further deliberation. Let’s roll!

"...Obama has a plan for America.
America has a plan for Sarah Palin..."

All Sarah needs is an 'Announced' new party, and I think enough Conservatives would show up to field an ENTIRE slate of Candidates for every Congressional and Senate seat that is needed!

Some, like Trey Gowdy, seem OK for now.

Should be fun! .......................................................................................................... FRegards

I agree with all of your points.

But as a former exec. of a national marketing firm, when have conservatives ever excelled at marketing? Richard Vigueri (sp?) and a few others perhaps.

It could be that the single greatest failure of conservatives outside of their voting cave-in’s (Rubio, et al being the latest example) is in the area of marketing and sales (yes, they are completely different). We rarely succeed in getting the message out and communicated. The Tea Party did it in ‘10, but that was grass roots more than anything. The Dems and libs outmarket and out-sell us 10 to 1. They are the ones who use good marketing and sales - AND technology. We need to do even better than they are.

I’d love to be encouraged to see a change in that arena, as you are correct - it will take a massive sea change. I can’t see it.

Reagan ruled simply because he first believed in his heart what we believe, and secondly because he could communicate it convincingly. But as good as Sarah is, she’s no Reagan.

Yes, all things are possible with God. All things. But He doesn’t usually come to the aid of those who have abandoned Him - and it appears to me that many conservatives fall in that category.

No question....what we need is a huge miracle.

And yes, I’m praying for one.......

Sounds great.

Still concerned with splintering of what strength we have.

Such a party would need a dynamic, energetic leader who can communicate and fire people up.

Who better than Sarah?

Didn't say that.

A number of groups with differing but complementary priorities, from within and outside the Republican party, would need to coalesce. Believing and practicing Christians (genuine Catholics and Conservative Protestants) and Conservative Jews (yes, they exist ... "some of my best friends", etc,), overtaxed working people, small businessmen and women, gun owners and sportsmen, veterans, Americans sick and tired of saving the world and being spit on for it, those and a few more could form a majority.

The Tea Party is not a political party. It is an amorphous movement. That is its strength and also its weakness. Amorphous movements don't contest and win elections, i.e. defeat a well funded and entrenched nomenklatura intent on destroying this country for its own short term benefit. That is the task at hand. Or we continue to go down the tubes and end up as one more failed empire future historians will puzzle over and write books about.

It is my view that they (meaning RINOs) must go— but if you will recall the RNC did some funny business to prohibit grass roots candidates from emerging. Essentially, they tell states who the candidates are and they will be Jeb Bush ( NO WAY). So yes, I say leave . We left on Romney and I’m so glad. He was so bad. He would be sending troops to Syria and loving illegal aliens!! We need a very mean 3rd party. You go girl. Bet Rand and Perry go too. Rubio and that Ryan guy are H I S T O R Y>

Anyone remembers Ross Perot and the Reform Party — George HW Bush wasn’t conservative enough, so conservatives voting for Ross Perot gave us Bill Clinton...

And now I guess it’s time for conservatives to help Hillary get elected. Welcome to the “Freedom Party”. Hillary loves you.

"Imagine a new party, "

That had much wider appeal than either mainstream party by the simplicity of it's message. Boil the federal government back down to its constitutional purpose and remove all the social issues that divide us.

Would the Freedom party not allow Muslims, Gays, Abortionists, ex-cons, Hispanics, Jews, Blacks or Women? Why not attempt to draw them all in by suggesting the Federal government shouldn't be in business to distinguish the difference, and thereby, neither does the Freedom Party.

Abolish the FED, fire the IRS and the rest of alphabet soup of complexity. Establish a sales tax that requires no reporting of, by or for any individual. Require that the federal government is no longer involved in debates like abortion, same sex marriage, or any kind of marriage. State and local governments as well should stay out of moral or religious arguments.

Let Freedom rein doesn't need to include a Christian agenda as long as it recognizes the origins of America's founding that produced religious freedom as it's bedrock.

Word by word follow the U.S. Constitution and see how getting the fedgov back to something closer to what it was intended to be attracts.

What the fedgov should be doing, is protecting American jobs.

Don’t forget to include that.

It is very important.

My bet is it will just make the RATs stronger.

If you have been paying attention, the RATs already ARE stronger.

We made the RATs stronger by supporting and electing liberals with an (R) next to their name (and continuing to elect those same liberals).

Benghazi, the IRS, NSA, Amnesty, and many more things are all recent signs of this - Republicans aren't doing squat over Benghazi, the NSA, and Amnesty, and you can tell they are trying to drag their feet on the IRS stuff.

Such as early Saturday afternoon? Fox hates her and it shows.

I didn't realize Fox News had already given her a crappy timeslot. It speaks volumes about what they think of her.

Yeah and did you see what I saw?

They had NO light on her. She was sitting in the dark for that interview.

I know. Paul Ryan is in the next district over from me, funny how he’s been laying low on our local talk show circuit. I’m so saddened he flipped to the dark side. I really think a true tea party candidate can defeat him (fingers crossed) He was our hero here. Now, he’s shown his true colors. It’s really sad for conservatives in WI who have been fighting the battle for many years now, with the support of Ryan. And supporting someone we thought was on our side. Gag me, they’re all in it for their job and what will give them a comfy life on our money.

Paul Ryan, you have disappointed our state.

Probably #1. Thanks!

Here's another; take everything for, and everything against global warming and leave it to private industry.

Imaginary Freedom Party congressional chairperson's response to a plea for funding. "I'm sorry. We have nothing to offer you because we don't provide funding for any cause good or bad, well researched or not. You see. We serve as representatives of the American people collectively. The decisions we make costs every single one of them. You'd be better off appealing to individual Americans for financial support of your project. You see, it would be entirely inappropriate if we were seen as playing favorites. That is something the American people will not tolerate."

Ok....I'm still trying to imagine....

Anyone remembers Ross Perot and the Reform Party — George HW Bush wasn’t conservative enough, so conservatives voting for Ross Perot gave us Bill Clinton...

If you voted for George H. W. Bush, you were voting for a liberal with an (R) next to his name. Same with Dole, same with George W. Bush, McCain, and Romney. I made the mistake of telling myself some of those folks were not liberals, but eventually I figured out that Conservatives were being played for fools.

A liberal with an (R) next to his name is no better than a liberal with a (D) next to his name. For 20+ years, the GOP has been giving us liberals with (R) next to their name pretending to be Conservatives.

And now I guess it’s time for conservatives to help Hillary get elected. Welcome to the “Freedom Party”. Hillary loves you.

You just keep on voting for those liberals with (R) next to their name, because the Democrats love Republicans like you. Keep on telling yourself that you're making a difference and that after all these years, somehow things will be different with that next liberal Republican. You just keep on maintaining that abusive relationship with the GOP, keep on telling yourself that they'll eventually stop crapping on your conservative principles. They'll never stop crapping all over you, but if it makes you feel better to believe it, then keep telling yourself that.
