News of reporter and writer Michael Hastings´ death at the age of only 33 has shaken the journalism community across the nation, as well as fans of the writer´s hard-hitting reporting.(Snip)conspiracy theorists are speculating that there is more than meets the eye over Hasting´s demise. Twitter, Facebook, and sharing site Reddit were abuzz Wednesday, with some users commenting that it was suspicious that Hastings, who famously brought down U.S. Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal in a Rolling Stone cover story, died while in the middle of covering several hot-button topics like monitoring by the National Security Agency and the CIA.

I heard an interview some time ago, well after the death, where his father-in-law indicated that he (Andrew Breitbart) had a heart condition he had been battling. But apparently, it had been some time since he had seen a doctor about it.
There is no doubt that there are methods to either fake, or cause a heart attack, but the Coronoer’s report said his arteries were 60% blocked too.
To my knowledge the family’s own messages regarding all of this was thet he died of natural causes. I have to believe that if they felt foul play was involved, that they would say so. And particularly some of the people who worked with and for him.
I'm not doubting this current group couldn't have taken him out, but what I saw with my own eyes simply doesn't support that.
He was an awesome person in spite of his bad health, good sense of humor, great perspective on how to beat the left, he is missed.
So what this says is outside control of your vehicle.....

Imagine this grisly scenario: You're driving down the interstate with the cruise control set at the speed limit. Without warning, your car accelerates. The speedometer pushes past 100 miles per hour. Suddenly, the car turns left and crashes into the concrete median.
Years ago my 60 Chevy broke a motor mount. If I gave it too much gas it would torque up the 283 engine, which gave it full throttle. I’d have to stand on the brake pedal with both feet and then the engine would drop back down, releasing the throttle linkage.

Yeah, this is rather strange. Also, this isn't the movies. Cars don't explode in flames when they hit a pole. High speed would be insane on this road and with LA's 24/7 traffic, lights, intersections, etc., practically impossible.
Move along. Nothing to see here.
Make a great movie... a Orwellian hero a ‘1984’ man is frightened to get into his car - puts a dummy in the driver’s seat, jumps back and watches his car goes down the street, turns around, speed up and comes back to crash into his home... Car catches on fire - doors locks won’t open so he can get his brief case ... Opens a ‘man vs State’ movie. Too bad Hollywood would ruin it by making thuggy liberals heroes...
I’ll never forget the off duty highway patrol officer driving a Lexus with a stuck gas pedal. His wife and another couple were in the car. They even had time to call 911 during the acceleration and that call is on record. How in the hell did he not think to put the car in neutral, or even try to turn the car off? All four were killed in the crash, exceeding 100mph. I still scratch my head over that one.. HIGHWAY PATROL OFFICERS should know better. Not one person in that car came up with a solution.
I had the same problem with a Studebaker Hawk. (360 engine). Thankfully, I could come off of the pedal and it would shut down. The first time it did it, I was crossing an intersection, and I burned rubber all the way across.
a computer that won’t let you shift gears?
Duh.
Oh well: just think: all you need is a small EMP or solar flare and no one will be able to drive. Luckily we have an old jeep, and two water buffalo to pull carts in case that happens.
How old is the Jeep and what model is it?
Gearshift on that Lexus isn’t connected to anything. It’s got computer controlled gearbox and throttle.
I think only 12 years old, probably made in Brazil. Really old fashioned...maybe not a “jeep” but only looks like one... But it is not oomputerized, and has an old fashioned engine, sans computerized carburator.
If it is 12 years old, it likely has an electrically operated transmission. The computer that controls the carb/injection also tells the transmission when to shift. However, it still has a mechanical connection between the gear lever and the transmission, and both park and neutral will work even if the computer fritzes.
You might want to check the age, because the last carbed car/truck sold in the US was discontinued in the late 1990s. Everything since then is some form of EFI.
I remember all the Arkacides that happened during Bill Clinton’s terms in office. We are now apparently having Obamacides.
It was just trying to park itself.

Yeah, I don’t get it. I talked to a crash analyst about it and he said that yes an engine block could get thrown from a MB because it’s in a separate cage from the passenger space cage and the fire could happen if the fuel line was ruptured after he ran over the hydrant and the pump still had power, but what was the cause?
Was he running from someone? Did someone pull up beside him and flash a gun? Or did someone rig his car? There is a video of him speeding through the red light and it looks like his brakelights are on.
