(VIDEO AT LINK)

During an interview with FOX Business, former Rep. Ron Paul explained that he was concerned about the well-being of National Security Agency whistle-blower Edward Snowden.

“I’m worried about somebody in our government might kill him with a cruise missile or a drone missile,” Paul explained. “I mean we live in a bad time where American citizens don’t even have rights and that they can be killed, but the gentlemen is trying to tell the truth about what’s going on.”

Paul added that there were no signs of Snowden defecting to a foreign country, which meant that he was not really a threat.....

...this time I’m not laughing. I don’t put anything past obama. If he turns up dead under any circumstances we need look no further than obama. People are dropping like flies since he entered the WH.

Speaking of flies in the White House - Obama made a point of not acting surprised when flies landed on him... home grown flies - the kind found in dead meat... If this was a third world hellhole I'd venture a guess there was a prison/torture suite under the building. But it's not... just a play on your words..

Seriously?

You have chosen to defend an admitted thief. Thieves are criminals. If that isn't serious to you, you are warped.

Did you watch Hannity tonight? Two former NSA workers said Snowden went to Hong Kong / The Guardian because he had seen what happened to others who had gone through the “proper” channels. They support him.

I have defended only the 4th Amendment not Snowden. I very clearly stated he is a criminal. Regardless, bringing Alex Jones into the discussion is preposterous.

When you resort to insults, you’ve destroyed any hope of serious discussion. Carry on with someone else.

Possibly a Hannity show worth watching.

>> They support him.

Did they seem sympathetic or did they expressly state support?

I truly want to understand why both of you believe that national security interests outweigh a sacred constitutional guarantee.

You're assuming this nation operates according to the Constitution....and that anything is guaranteed today..it is not.

However..the first Responsibility of our Government is the Security of this Nation...and it is not...without a Secure Nation all bets are off the table..and is what we are seeing playing out everyday....even without outside threats.

Islam is the number one enemy we have..and the World on a whole...anyone watching the World Stage is seeing it's power and agenda not only moving but gaining....and for the most part it's a “silent creeping” across our nation.

If any think that our country is not already invaded they are not informed...and when the enemy is on your land and functioning behind the scenes...using all the communication networks within ...then it really isn't hard to understand why gov. is doing what it's doing.

How they USE what they gain is another story. But especially since 9/11....this Country knew it would never be the same as before that..and it won't be.

You call out rights sacred....under who?...that's been sidestepped long long ago. As has the Constitution.

So...Of course the liberties we once knew will not be as we knew them....especially when many so called Americans are not American....they bare the name only...their allegence is elsewhere...this is not their home./p>

Why are people clamoring about the Constitution when they are fully aware Gov. and decision makers are not operating according to it???? That is simply reality...the only time agendas are curtailed is via lawsuits and then the Constitution is raised.

As for Snowdens revealing his stuff...it has already affected the terrorists who are changing their mode of communication...in other words...what NSA and other Intelligence agencies had a handle on...are broken. So yes he affected Nat’l Security.....for they've spanned out all the further...

What part of it was illegal? Immoral maybe, but what part was illegal?

Um... it wasn’t illegal. It was all made legal thanks to the PAtriot Act.

This is your post, isn't it?

Snowden is in Hong Kong because one doesn’t go up against the intelligence agencies of a world superpower and then stay within their jurisdiction.

He broke the law by revealing classified information to the media instead of seeking whistleblower status. That makes him a criminal under U.S. law. However, one can understand why he might not trust the government to protect him as a whistleblower. He chose to present his case to We The People. I for one am listening and hear him out.

Did you not see the video of NSA operatives saying that Snowden should be disappeared? One doesn’t punch a bully in the nose and then stay in arm’s reach. Surely you can understand that, right?

If there are no constitutional guarantees, then there is also no guarantee that the government will act lawfully.

If it’s understandable for the government to violate the 4th Amendment in order to protect the nation, then it is equally understandable for Snowden to violate the law in order to protect the Constitution.

Your logic seems to be that “all bets are off - so all bets are off.” Good luck with a government that operates under that philosophy.

The only sentences of mine you need have quoted were:

“He broke the law by revealing classified information to the media instead of seeking whistleblower status. That makes him a criminal under U.S. law.”

The rest of what you quoted and bolded speaks to the reasons he gave for commiting a crime. I said I would hear him out. That’s not defending him.

As I said, please carry on with someone else. I don’t know what you want, but you have no interest in carrying on a discussion about national security versus constitutional liberties.

If that is legal why not simply put a LEO inside of every home. By you logic that is legal too.

I'm not sure the citizenry ARE aware that this Guv and syndicate of power routinely operate un-constitutionally. They actually believe it is a benevolent force, "looking out for the folks." IF it were, 40 million Mexican wouldn't be swarming within the US border and posing with 0dinga at SOTU photo-ops.

As for Snowdens revealing his stuff...it has already affected the terrorists who are changing their mode of communication...in other words...what NSA and other Intelligence agencies had a handle on...are broken.

Sorry. NO SALE. What's "broken" is the 4th Amendment AND any notion that the NSA has indeed been concentrating on TERRORISTS (like the Boston Marathon Chechs)...instead of wasting resources and creating dossiers on innocent American citizens.

They and it are Epic Fails.

The question is whether he put US National Security or at risk. That must always be the question. He did ..he is a traitor.

Uh, no.

Really?? In light of the Boston Marathon Bombing, Benghazi, and Fast & Furious, that question seems to be answered already.

Frankly, the question(s) are whether you and I retain ours right to the protection of the 4th Amendment, why OUR private communication and transactions are tracked and recorded without due cause by a fascist Peeping-Tom State. Can you justify this? Q: Who died and made 0dinga and his henchmen, Vichy Congressman and the NSA Kings of the Universe?

The "traitors" are any one who believes we must sacrifice our constitutional rights in the name of "security" and those who sanction the illegal search and seizure of our person.

He broke his oath of employment. Real heros don’t run. They stay to face the consequences. Obama hatred is clouding the minds of conservatives.

What of the "oath" to the USCON?? Does the fact that it us routinely violated bother you?

Snowden exposed a rogue employer and guv who routinely violate the 4th Amendment. He escaped a guv who'd rather shut-down (i.e. "eliminate") a whistleblower who's exposed their secret, illegal, intrusive practice of trashing the 4th Amendment that now been made public.

The only talking heads I see calling for the head of Snowden are heavy-handed 0buma minions and Vichy Repulicans who play for the same pro-Big Guv, Globalist-Statist team.

Nothing says "patriotic commitment to civil liberties" like threatening to defect to China.

And no one says, "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety" any better than Benjamin Franklin.
