During an interview with FOX Business, former Rep. Ron Paul explained that he was concerned about the well-being of National Security Agency whistle-blower Edward Snowden.

“I’m worried about somebody in our government might kill him with a cruise missile or a drone missile,” Paul explained. “I mean we live in a bad time where American citizens don’t even have rights and that they can be killed, but the gentlemen is trying to tell the truth about what’s going on.”

Paul added that there were no signs of Snowden defecting to a foreign country, which meant that he was not really a threat.....

there is simply no possible connection between what the NSA did in this case and defending the nation. They specifically excluded calls of international origin or destination.

Please add me to your list of “fools” who respect and defend a plain reading of the Constitution against these out of control totalitarians.

I see. So, what about the illegal domestic spying part of it? Don’t you care about your freedom?

I’m more worried that people will take the Paul’s seriously.

I’d be more worried people siding with Obama on this...Paul may be FrootLoops, but Obama is totally out of control

You want to be coddled and taken care of by Obammy and company, that is enough to discredit you as a conservative.

I’ll decline your implicit invitation to join the name-calling.

Make your case: explain, if you can, how the defense of the nation is enhanced by spying on her citizens.

As I said until the nation gets serious about fighting this war that we are losing by implementing strict boarder security, racial and ethnic profiling at ports of entry, and swift justice for traitors then domestic spying is unavoidable and to be expected.

Wrong. Those lectures reaffirmed everything I’ve ever known about our way of life in these United States.

Our government is not God, it isn’t perfect. The men and women who serve in our government work for us, the citizens (sovereigns) of the United States. We only allow those folks the power to temporarily make OUR decisions.

Those who have turned loose the specter of totalitarianism against the American people have violated our God-given rights as spelled out in the U.S.Constitution.

As I said before, you better read up on the U.S.Constitution. Peasants with pitchforks and torches used in the past are nothing compared with what will be unleashed in the near future.

Better make sure you’re not caught in the crossfire.

I am not a Libertarian. I will never agree with you on issues related to national security, such as defense spending, the necessity for a larger military or a host of other issues.

Conservatives are not Libertarians and I think it foolish to pretend otherwise. The basic divide between a Conservative and Libertarian can never be breached in my opinion.

Just exactly who on this site is a lover of an Obama reign of tyranny? Allegations like that are ridiculous and infantile. They detract from the discussion and the forum. You are better than that, aren't you?
