Sure, no reason to let the bear relive it’s glory days for one incident through you. It will just cost both sides, including your own people.
They are BOTH Israel’a enemies. Russia knows as well as Israel does that any of assad’s weapons could fall to al qaeda. Russia has been pulling the wool over Iran and Syria’a eyes for quite some time now or Iran would have gone nuclear a long time ago.
In the last 50 years, the West nurtured Sunnis by keeping their Shite opponents at bay, creating a cancerous Sunni tumor. Now that rich Sunnis can give orders, the West is marching towards clearing out their Shite opponents.
In this Sunni vs Shite Islamic Civil War, Sunni terrorism makes Shite terrorism look like a picnic. A rag-tag group of Sunnis themselves can cause the most powerful country to lose face and withdraw in disgrace (don’t tell me Iraq and Afghanistan withdrawls weren’t disgraceful).
In an ideal world, the Islamic Civil War would be left alone, but presence of oil fields, the need for war to keep certain industries afloat, and the security of an ally in Israel complicates matters — thus prompting Nations to take sides. Eventually, it is the chickens coming home to roost, as a wise man so eloquently put.
Iran only has nuclear capability BECAUSE of Russia. The Iranian nuclear threat IS the Russian nuclear threat.
Iran is a fanatically jihadist theocracy and is the REAL enemy of the US and Israel.
Kadaffy was a terrorist who murdered many innocent Americans. I celebrated his richly deserved death.
Assad is a genocidal socialist dictator slaughtering his own people just like Kadaffy. I will always celebrate the demise of such savage and inhuman animals.
Israel has already struck Assad repeatedly because they are not as ignorant AS YOU ARE. Israel is not afraid of KGB Putin and his neo-Soviet Russia.
Putin is nostalgic for the old days but his Russia is but a shadow of the Soviet Union. Putin is nothing but a posturing wanna-be.
Israel doesn’t have any problems with Russia helping Assad fight the terrorists who are trying to bring down his regime.
But there is no way that these missiles would be any use whatever against the terrorist threat. Their only possible use is against Israel.
Basically, that’s also why Israel attacked Syria recently—because Assad was threatening to arm the Palestinians who want to kill Israelis.

Actually, it is more likely given the tensions between Turkey and Syria that the missiles are more intended as a way to deter Turkey from attacking Syria, which is far more of a possibility than Israel getting involved.
Yes, I am assuming prisoner’s dilemma is related to this.
Under that theory the best outcome is to cheat or not cooperate.

Israel would not strike these weapons until after they had changed hands. No way will they sink a Russwian vessel. However, once they are offloaded in Syria, then they belong to Syria and will be fair game.
You can bet the Mossad will be on top of that delivery date, time, and place.
