Bottom line is, yesterday was a good day but the fight is way far from over.
Send e-mails, letters, phone calls to your senators expressing your opinion of their votes. Keep agitating.

“They withdrew the bill. It can be reintroduced at ANY TIME Dingy Harry wants to.”
After the elections and IF, they can capture the US House and add more socialist in the US Senate, then Hairy ass Reid will reintroduce the gun control bill(s). The socialist are not done by no stretch of the imagination, there is still more bribery, extortion, and graft to be had in order to secure more votes in favor of gun control legislation, bet on it!
Stand ready and vigilant my fellow Americans! We have taken the high ground, but, we must be ever ready for a counterattack!

It is not over.
They can pull this out for a vote again.
But it is a victory.

When people with narcissistic personality disorder don't get their way, they escalate. I grew up with someone with this, and they will keep escalating till they get their way, or someone more powerful makes them stop.
Obama is the most powerful man in the world.
This is going to get ugly.

This shows why it was so CRITICALLY IMPORTANT for Romney to start needling Obama during the campaign in an effort to provoke a meltdown. Obama becoming emotionally unhinged is a scary and disturbing sight. It would have made a difference. But as usual the Pubbies lacked the stones.
To: BobL
True, nothing stops you from pressure-cooking something, putting it in the refrigerator (or freezer) and the reloading the pressure-cooker to cook more of it. Who knew that they could be reloaded??? I thought that these are foods, they're roasts- potatoes, so the people who have those now, they're going to cook them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity pressure cookers is going to decrease dramatically over time because the foods will have been cooked and there won't be any more available.

I agree. The SOB can get all fired up and emotional about taking away our rights, but we must calmly investigate and bring to justice the bomber(s). He is a narcissist

That’s what I thought and the 1st debate gave me hope. But as you said they lacked the stones to follow thru.

No one should need anything over one gallon... When chickens come home to roost, you'll need at least a 10 gallon pot.

Just imagine, if the gun grab bill had gone through.
These same clowns will be grinning and laughing and who knows what, right beside families of victims and Gabby.
Again, the reason why lots of us said these poor souls are being used as props.

So much for the first big liberal hope of Mr. Obama's second term. Maybe he should consider a centrist strategy from now on. There is no real middle ground on this particular issue, which is one thing that makes it such a third rail in American politics. What is presented as middle ground is in fact a partial surrender of basic rights instead of a complete one, which will surely follow.
It was fascinating to hear the talking heads parrot that "no one is in favor of firearms confiscation" when that precise thing was actually happening in New York. The question was never, "How stupid do they think we are" but "How stupid do they have to be to actually think that one will fly?"
