The administration is concerned that the citizenry will not take kindly to an Obama third term. Look for events following the 2014 midterms that will compel Obama to postpone the 2016 elections. He’s not going anywhere.
There are lots and lots of well informed and passionate people on Free Republic, which is why I read it every day. And I’m as alarmed about these events as anyone. Haven’t shot a round in months since I can’t even backfill to resupply.
However, does anyone on here think that obama and napolitano are overplaying their hand just a bit? Their snatching all this stuff up? Yes. There are reports that obama is replacing command staff with people that will just follow his orders? Probably. There’s estimated to be approximately 200k armed federal agents, across the board.
But, how many of those think like the people on FR do? How many don’t like seeing what’s gong on anymore than us? How many will do what the New Orleans cops did during Katrina? walk away and take care of their families. I know quite a few and the ones that I know are not goose-stepping to the beat of the obama-napoliatano drum. How many will just poop their pants and run at the first sign of trouble? A lot, when they realize that they’re not up against some dumbass with a Jennings .380.
I’ve worked with the feds for a long time. People have this sense that they roll around America like RoboCop. I can tell you ALL, from firsthand experience that that is NOT the case. Put 12 federal agents against 12 kids vet’s from the 82nd or 101st, and it’ll be over quick.
And lets not forget about the GI’s. The ones that really know how to use MRAP’s, etc. Sure he may stack the command staff, but there’s plenty of guys in the lower ranks that will just not blindly march into Smalltown, USA and start shooting the populace. I think that many will join the populace, as that is where they come from. They haven’t been tainted by the elites.

Pretty well sums it up for me. Especially the part about shutting the agency down in its entirety. An agency that never should have been created. “Homeland” who even talks like except the Nazi’s?

Big crackdown on local and state public corruption ahead. DHS has been involved in activities with them in order to record data learn more about them in advance. Same with the drones—not feasible for getting a single family or individual for a minor regulation but certainly doable for busting local official criminal activities.
When DHS declares war, the cities will be besieged and the populations will starve.
Elsewhere it will be open season on random democrats that must either flee to the faltering failing cities or die.

At first I believed the ammo purchases were an attempt to keep it from the citizens. But the stories of the military leadership being gutted in favor of far left types and those loyal to the Obama convinced me that the military is being geared with an eye to civil unrest and salted with those not squeamish for when the Obama gives the order to fire on US citizens.
A bit far fetched or paranoid? Convince me otherwise..
