CPAC Case for De-emphasizing Abortion and Gay Marriage
PJ Media ^ | 3/15/13

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. – Charles Murray prevailed upon social conservatives within the Republican Party to de-emphasize their opposition to issues like abortion and same-sex marriage in an effort to attract younger voters.

Murray, the controversial political scientist perhaps best known for his book The Bell Curve on IQ and class structure, said his experience has been that younger voters, like his four children, are reluctant to support GOP candidates even though they may agree with the party on a host of conservative issues.

We should probably also drop opposition to socialized medicine and higher taxes on “The Rich” in order to attract EVEN MORE voters. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

CPAC is blending into the mainstream ... becoming a non-entity.

Abortion is the legal killing of nascent human life.

Law that advances homosexual ‘marriage’ is law the persecutes the individual that refuses to support and service homosexual behavior.

Neither of these two depraved issues is advantageous to a free society; a society the truly respects the individual.

Indeed, conservatives should de-emphasize same-sex marriage and abortion. And while we’re at it, we might as well de-emphasize the Second Amendment, right to work, Islamic terrorism, racial quotas, illegal immigration, deficit spending, voter fraud, etc.

We should probably abandon the idea that 'moderates exist' ~ fur shur Mitt went after that vote and they just didn't show up.

Actually, they never show up.

Charles Murray is a libertarian.

Let’s be liberals then - there no reason to be conservative if you agree with the Left on abortion and marriage.

No society can survive without God and strong families. It won’t matter if we have a sound economy. Man does not live by bread alone!

What does the GOP-E suggest:

When they pound on our front door, like Sodom and Gomorrah, demanding that we come out so that they might know us, do we have to do it?

Screaming thugs from homosexual groups and “Occupy Boston” disrupt & drown out peaceful April 15 “Patriots Day” Tea Party rally on Boston Common
http://massresistance.com/docs/gen2/12b/tea_party_0415/attack/index.html

Commentary: Conservatives need to wake up & see the threat.
“Social” and “fiscal” issues the same to those out to destabilize society.

POSTED: May 4, 2012
When the radical homosexual organizations and the “Occupy” movement team up to brutally stop a Tea Party rally, what else do you need to know? They are clearly natural allies in the effort to destabilize our society.

A vocal minority of Tea Party people in Massachusetts were skittish and upset when the Tea Party Coalition decided to include so-called “social issues” in their repertoire of topics for that event. “It will hurt our brand” or “it will alienate people” or “it’s not what the Tea Party is about” were some whines we all heard.

Well, guess what? They rioters see it all as one big movement. They understand that “social issues” and “fiscal issues” are two sides of the same coin that can radically change America. (And of course, that’s how every philosopher from Marx to Jefferson saw it, because it is so.) A nation’s fiscal policies are merely the product of its overall morality and ideology. To have a solid constitutional government along with a population that can’t control its passions or morality is simply a pipe dream.

(In fact, the rioters jeered Carla Howell, a fiscal-issues-only Libertarian speaker — who took pains to inform them she is pro-gay marriage! — just as loudly that day!)

But more importantly, this event should make it clear that as soon as the Tea Party — or anyone — gets in the radicals’ way, this is what will happen. These people have no rules except to destroy those who disagree with them. You think you can agree with them on “gay rights” but disagree with them on taxes? Think again. With these people it’s all or nothing. And so it should also be with those who are fighting for what’s right.

the Republican Party to de-emphasize their opposition to issues like abortion and same-sex marriage in an effort to attract younger voters.

De-emphasize issues like abortion and same-sex marriage.

Accepting sin so you can win; selling your soul so a politician can have power. If that politician can give up their values and obedience to God so easy, why would they ever do what is right?

To attract younger voters;

What does that tell younger voters? Its ok to accept evil so you can win and have power.

This is why I will NEVER vote for a leftist republican again. I would be disobeying God if I did. Maybe that is why we ARE losing; because of our compromising.

CPAC LEAVES GOD IN LIMBO
First Portman now this guy but this explains why this opening is not going anywhere. I argue they’re not moved by conviction of their offspring whom apparently they seem to have been unable to instill the values which perpetuate a society. But to the whims of a destructive agenda driven by the Minions in Socialist Media.

When the democrats decided to remove God or any reference to Our Creator at their 2012 convention. They also demonstrated they are no longer the democratic party of your father’s father. They have become a hyphenated radical unit and should be known as Demo-Coms dedicated to the establishment of a collective idealism using the device of PCP to modify behavior and shed beliefs that they believe would impede remaking their concept of the perfect utopian state. That is hardly democratic because the word democrat idealizes the individual voice.

But Rove, GOPES (GOP Elite Snobs) and RINOS lack the capacity or the understanding or the courage to point to the historic radicalization that occured at that moment and use it politically. Worse yet they are unable to forthrightly defend what the demo-coms have set out to destroy and some are even comming up with their own version of PCP . Anyone preaching PCP is going down the poisonous road to oblivion . Following a policy of PCP. Politically Correct Politics which the hyphenated democrat party, the Demo-Coms,is using is flat out wrong.Worse yet moral questions such as marriage, sexual practices, family constituency and particularly beliefs those of containing Judeo Christian tenets are being assulted and not defended. That offers a majority of voters no choice in the direction this country is to take.

PCP when used by the Demo-Coms such terms as: Afro-American, Hispanic-American, Asian-American, White-American, Rich-American ,Gay-American, are more than simply nouns but vehicles used to separate US from each other. Beside separating US from our money the Demo-Coms demand we become adhearents to a system without the constituional constraints on government. Thus surrendering our protections from governmental abuses and excessive bureacracy to the will of a bureaucratic collective which is no longer answerable to the average citizen.

Sadly for the Republicans God remains in Limbo but should conservatives follow their downward spiral.

Why not also "de-emphasize" the Divinity of Christ and also quit stressing Christ as the only Way to Salvation while we're at it, Charles? Those two items are also quite controversial for some.

I would suggest the problem with today's youth and the homosexual issue is that we left our children's education to a bunch of homosexual teachers, who besides telling their students homosexuality is just another choice but also stressed the positive aspects of sex that abortion on demand just had to follow.

Maybe, if we quit making such a big thing about murder, murders wouldn't develop such a low opinion about themselves.

The bible is quite clear about our responsibility regarding sin, i.e. not only are we not to commit the sin, we are not supposed to look the other way and either pretend not to notice or condone it either.

Frankly, I'd rather be approved of by God than man or your children Charles, but thanks for the advice.

Charles is politically brain dead. Younger Americans, according to the polls, are the most pro-life. Opposition to abortion is one of the issues that will attract them to the GOP.

Do any of these DC types know a thing about the grassroots?

Yeah, be sure to cash in your principles in order too attract younger voters. Imagine how the young voters would come running if conservatives “deemphasized” their opposition to amnesty for illegals, free flow of dope, attacks on the 2nd Amendment, sharia law and pedophile “rights.”

I would argue that the up coming generation is more against abortion than the present generation....I think stats will back me up.
