BOB WOODWARD: Obama Is Showing 'A Kind Of Madness I Haven't Seen In A Long Time'
Business Insider ^ | 02/27/2013 | Brett LoGiurato

Posted on 02/27/2013 8:01:54 AM PST by SeekAndFind

The Washington Post's Bob Woodward ripped into President Barack Obama on "Morning Joe" today, saying he's exhibiting a "kind of madness I haven't seen in a long time" for a decision not to deploy an aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf because of budget concerns.

"Can you imagine Ronald Reagan sitting there and saying, 'Oh, by the way, I can't do this because of some budget document?'" Woodward said.

"Or George W. Bush saying, 'You know, I'm not going to invade Iraq because I can't get the aircraft carriers I need?'" Or even Bill Clinton saying, 'You know, I'm not going to attack Saddam Hussein's intelligence headquarters,' ... because of some budget document?"

The Defense Department said in early February that it would not deploy the U.S.S. Harry Truman to the Persian Gulf, citing budget concerns relating to the looming cuts known as the sequester.

"Under the Constitution, the President is commander-in-chief and employs the force. And so we now have the President going out because of this piece of paper and this agreement. 'I can’t do what I need to do to protect the country,'" Woodward said. "That’s a kind of madness that I haven't seen in a long time," he said.

Woodward's harsh criticism came after he stirred controversy last weekend by calling out Obama for what he said was "moving the goal posts" on the sequester by requesting that revenue be part of a deal to avert it.

"That’s a kind of madness that I haven't seen in a long time,"

It's not madness. It is a fatalistic combination of inefficacy and immaturity, masked by an overt display of narcissism.

Right. I don't think the Obamaphiles will listen to anyone about him.

But there are millions of folks in the middle who will listen to Woodward and be surprised that WaPo is willing to take on the President.

This might even embolden some in Congress to fight harder against issues Obama is pushing.

It may be Woodward is looking down the road when ALL rap-port-ers and writers will be replaced by State run robotic type ‘readers’ sans opinions or inflections.

It's happening now. The left is ditching the print media for the Internet and oboma phones. All orders and propaganda will be fed directly to the base without the media getting in the way.
All the socialists/communist tyrants have done this. The useful idiots are always the first to be eliminated once the monsters get enough power to render them unnecessary.

With regards to releasing incarcerated criminal illegal aliens:

"...He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions."

When they start, individually, to tune into the facts, they will have an obvious reaction. It’ll be a paradigm shift and they’ll be like a fighter pilot who cruises along in the clouds and comes out thinking he was upside down but he’s right side up.

He gets a visual on the horizon and it’s up, not down where it was supposed to be.

He has to take a moment to readjust his mind after his bearings.

Denial of the truth is impossible. It’s harsh. But when the see things as they truly are with this crowd, and realize their complicity in it, it’ll be stunning.

Not that this is what’s going on with Woodward, necessarily. It might be a beginning, and it might not bA. He is an intelligent person, miguided though.

Anyway, they’ll need, if not a friendly camp to jump into, a non hostile one. Not to say blind trust for the likes of Woodward is ever a good idea.

Some of them will join. That’s probaly going to happen.

They’ll have to start facing the results of all this they’ve demanded. They have to stop whining and campaigning. There are not enough addictive substances to fog the truth indefinitely.

Sorry, your request cannot be fulfilled at this time. Currently all available MSM assets are working on the background of Dr. Ben Carson.

Bob Woodward is very dangerous for Obama because he will tell the truth and people will listen.

It is wishful thinking to believe that Woodward will truly turn on Obama.

Woodward's heart is hard-core left. He will only go so far in speaking the "truth" about Obama.

Gee Bob, too bad you’re liberal, old and feeble because exposing Obama, Hillary, and the Justice Dept would make Nixon look like an amateur.

Guess you just aren’t interested in getting the story anymore.

I think Obomas hate for man kind has driven him insane. I think he actually believes he's a divine being of some kind, and those who don't bow down and worship him are the "real" problem. I think he's friggen nuts.

You just described Adolf Hitler.

One of the emailed comments from viewers on O’Reilly last night was something to the effect that the appearance of MO on the Academy Awards is just the first of many upcoming appearances to help her gain popularity before she makes her run for the WH in 2016.

This scenario would not surpise me.

Its a kind of madness we have NEVER seen since we have never had a media that lets the President say anything he wants without question. Since 80% of the people will believe him he can only gain.

The internet servers, themselves, should be concerned that they could also become a just another State run agency.

It’ll be the time when truth disappears forever.

Sort of like King Midas and his gift of the “Golden Touch”, that he received from the stranger? Hmm...maybe the so-called “death by a thousand cuts” might come from all the Dr. Frankensteins (old liberal media) who created this ‘monster’,(Obama regime) and now fearing it’s out of their control, can destroy it!

Now is it possible that a lot of ‘Bob Woodwards’ could band together and deal with Obama’s regime better than the Rush Limbaughs and the Sean Hannity’s, Mark Levins, etc... can ever do? Shoot, who knows? I’m sure there are other Democrats who’d like a crack at the White House someday themselves, and are afraid they’ll never have that chance if he stays in there? Who knows? (grin)

I don’t know, even the “Obama phone” lady doesn’t love him anymore; the “Obama Girl” fell out of love w/him before his last term was over, as well! Some of the other liberal media lapdogs are growling at him too. Maybe this will be the “death by a thousand cuts” his regime will get after all!

I get the sense that a lot of them wanted Hillary in there, instead of Obama, and only went along w/Obama because “he won”! They might be seeing an opportunity to get some other Democrat (possibly Hillary) in there. Also, they figure that if they all band together, there’s safety in numbers;(from the “Red Queen” Val Jarrett and her winged monkeys) and he can’t come after all of them!

I almost fear a Hillary presidency more than this current clown. This creep’s madness is showing more and more and may eventually send him to the rubber room.

Hillary will have all the usual suspect demographically beholden serfs- Blacks, Hispanics, Gays, unions, the media, etc. PLUS WOMEN ( who I suspect are beginning to fear Barky a bit, realizing his bite can be worse with his constant threats ).

Hillary will also always have Bill behind the curtain as her gravitas guru in her mad reign. Barky has no one else to save him should he suddenly spontaneously combust behind his teleprompter.

Mrs. O. Doesn’t have the leadership skills and presence of an Evita—we would be better off with Mrs. Peron—at least she built hospitals that are still helping people today—and Evita inspired a great musical and movie. No one going to write a great play about Michelle Obama—unless its a Tragedy.

Bob Woodward is part of the sensible sober middle these days. He tilts a tiny bit right. He was never an idiot like Carl Bernstein. Woodward is a elder statesman of journalism these days. His words just might carry some weight with the young punk journalists of today who most of them are O-bot propaganda pawns

Why do you think he is a career libtard ?

I have been a career republican and you know what, woodward was right about Nixon and I was wrong.

I can’t think of anything he has written that has been way off the mark. Maybe a little off now and then but if you write enough stuff who doesn’t miss the mark now and then.

“Woodward’s heart is hard-core left.”

Carl Berstein is hard core left.

Woodward said in the early 90’s something like “if we get the deficit under control, the economy will really take off”.

The Statist Nixon indeed started the ball rolling on the EPA through an executive order in December of 1970.

Nixon was one of many Republicans who instituted highly destructive Statist policies and departments at the national level.

Woodward has to believe that Obama’s petulance is madness, because the alternative is to see the truth, that Obama is doing all this intentionally, as you said. Obama is good at one thing... Chicago politics and I don’t think he can stop until he crushes Republicans and America in the process.
