There was a controversial TV show back in the 80s, aired on one of the broadcast channels iirc (or maybe even PBS) that covered a foreign takeover of the US and the indoctrination of American children to undermine their loyalty to the US.
I can’t remember the name for the life of me, but I do remember that the penultimate scene involved the “teacher” having the students cut apart the US flag, ostensibly so they could each have a piece of it for themselves.
Just proves what I have been saying all along. If parents stay involved and get conservatives elected, even to school boards this stuff will be nipped in the bud, if it happens at all.
the flag...
1) a man/woman with pants down.. facing forward..
2) bent over at the waist..
3) with the word.. BOHICA above... on red background..
4) with leg shackles and ball....
I can see this in a place like Minnesota. A place I left a year and a half ago. A place where University of Minnesota runs TV ads where Scandanavian skull full of mush whine about having so-called privilege due to being pale. I am now in Texas. This is happening in Texas!?!?!?!
If asked this when I was in the sixth grade, I would have drawn the Soviet Flag. Back then I also knew what a Bear or a T-62 was. A target.
On good thing about having a traditional Catholic upbringing. I learned much about what it was like to be a Christian behind the Iron Curtain. To me, the Commies were evil, second only to the Antichrist.
People's Republic of Socialstan!
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Doesn't anyone check out the curriculum BEFORE using it?
Or do they have to pass it to find out what's in it?

Simple assignment:
Silhouettes of people being loaded into box cars for the long trip to Siberia in the middle of winter.
It would be very fitting.
Texas had better figure things out soon or there will be no Texas. This is not the first time I have heard of this sort of thing in Texas schools.
