Ah, yes, the city where the mayor has asked the gangbangers to restrict thir shooting each other to vacant alleys.

Why the heck do these folks live in Chicago? I never go there, and my heart is in my throat whenever I have to drive through. One of the scariest times of my life was when the freeway pushed us off at 3 AM at the Gary, Indiana border and we had to drive through on surface streets.

And, why, perchance, aren't the bangers who're caught illegally packing heat sent away for longer? Many of them are felons in possession and are using the guns in the drug trade, all Federal felonies. Indeed, carrying concealed in IL is a felony all by itself. Nevertheless, the Trayvons and Leshauns, all Obama's spiritual sons, keep on packing in spite of being caught.
Methinks it has a wee bit to do with Chicago black culture. The politicians and preachers, like Rev. Wright, are in the gangs' pockets and have always been. They'd be promptly booted out of office if they initiated a real stop and frisk program directed at high homicide areas and followed it up by sending the perps away for as long as current law will allow.
Until they do that, all their wailing about gun crime is nothing but BS and propaganda clearly designed to disarm law abiding people, giving the gangs huge free fire zones.
