Gun group dangerously out of touch (BARF ALERT)
Milwaukee J-S ^ | 20 jan 2013 | Eugene Kane

Posted on 01/20/2013 6:47:51 AM PST by rellimpank

Let me say this as clearly as I can:

I'm sick and tired of the NRA.

As one of millions of American citizens who don't own a gun or consider gun ownership part of my personal DNA, I'm tired of a powerful national organization for gun advocates that seems tone-deaf in the face of unprecedented concern about the amount of gun violence in our society.

I'm tired of an organization that constantly resists any initiative for more gun control even in the wake of sensational shootings that have become a disturbing part of the American fabric.

I'm tired of tight-faced National Rifle Association officials such as executive vice president Wayne LaPierre making outlandish statements after tragedies such as the elementary school shooting in Newtown, Conn., that lack even a pinch of compassion for child victims but instead pile on blame for gun violence on society's love of Hollywood movies and video games.

Let me guess, Eugene also doesn't own a uterus, but considers abortion to be an unalienable right. Nuff said.

I’m tired of Kane’s voting idiots into public office and tramp our rights into the ground over emotional responses to a crisis — I wonder how he will fair when the zombies come???

Maybe Mr. Kane should ask himself WHY the NRA is popular and growing. There are innumerable leftist organizations working hand in hand with politicians and the media to push their agendas. One either organizes to fight back or one is squashed. That’s just the way it is.

If the gun grabbers weren’t constantly trying to disarm Americans, ignoring the rule of law in the process BTW, the NRA would be largely unnecessary. Until such time that the 2nd Amendment is formally rescinded by constitutional amendment, the right of Americans to bear arms shall not be infringed.

Just wondering what this wuss would do if one night he and his family while watching TV were invaded by a group of armed thugs. Would he standby and watch his wife and kids be abused? This dude better wake up and realize that the last defense against tyranny is the 2nd amendment.

You have no idea how tired we are of your lies, disinformation, distortion of the truth. I would really like to know WHY this is going on or are you that deceived, article writer? As a teacher, I saw first hand the effect of violent video games along with filthy music and movies on youth.

All of the young women at work (new career away from the public screwels) are pregnant and not one has a husband. One's boyfriend tried to start a fight at the company Christmas party and it took four of us to get him outside and into his car so she could take him home before he got arrested. Yeah, guns are causing ALL of that.

Liberals, all of you, just keep lying until the barbarians come marching through the gates. I guess it ancient Babylon it got so bad they confiscated everyone's swords. Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin.

I'm tired of mean-spirited NRA ads that blast President Barack Obama as an elitist because his children get armed protection from Secret Service agents while most other parents do not.

Oops, Eugene's pants on fire moment.

BTW, Eugene, you might want to learn English before you write stuff for publication.

If the NRA can persuade enough Americans they need guns in their lives in order to defend their families against violent attack - no matter how unlikely the scenario - as opposed to simply advocating a position that allows hunters and sportsmen to engage in a harmless pastime, the organization sends a message wrapped in a Second Amendment that many believe is long outdated.

Eugene, now you're being just plain stupid.

I know how he feels. I'm "sick and tired" of the Obama worshipping "news media".

Conservative: “I don’t like that book you’re reading, or that gun you have, so I will not purchase either one”.

Liberal: “I don’t like that book you’re reading or that gun you have so I’ll get someone to take them from you.”

Michalowski summed up:

"In the unlikely event that my children or I am faced with an armed assailant, I want the ability for someone to respond in kind to provide immediate protection. It may be me or an armed guard or an armed teacher, but if a bad guy comes through the door, I want him met immediately with the same force he brings to perpetrate his evil act."

I respect his opinions, but the truth is I have almost no way to relate to Michalowski's approach to this issue.

Should Kane's home address be published? He has clearly stated that he has "...almost no way to relate...." to how to defend himself. Apparently, he has no response whatsoever planned for an intrusion of evil into his life.

I sent Mr. Kane an e-mail that included this link:

Surprisingly his e-mail address isn’t accepting correspondence.

So? That's his opinion. That doesn't mean everyone else feels the same way he does.

Democrats aren't afraid of what other people will do with guns. They're afraid of what they would do if they had a gun.

The democrat base consists of social misfits. They see themselves as victims of someone. If they're all victims, then they must see everyone else as a villain. Because they feel no remorse after killing the most innocent among us, think of what they would do to those they deem to be the guilty villains!!

Most of the shooters so far were registered democrats, or their parents were registered democrats or activists. None of them had any connection to the average, normal American citizen.
Those democrats, suffering from their own self-inflicted wounds, used the guns. No one else did it for them. They simply aborted the villians, because a politician wasn't there to do it for them.

I'm sick and tired of the NRA.

And I am getting G.D. sick and tired of people who want to punish me, for crimes I had absolutely no involvement in, and violate my civil rights in the process.
