An “under honorable conditions” discharge is NOT a Honorable Discharge; it is a General Discharge.
A deserter should not get either of these discharges.
This is almost as disgusting as giving Obama the Peace Prize and makes about as much sense.
But it’s not quite as disgusting as letting him in the White House to begin with.
Agree, and he should count himself fortunate if he’s just in the brig. In other times, deserters were shot.
