Hunter is a four-time All-Star and has played in the majors since 1997. He was considered a clubhouse leader with the Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Angels, and he told the Los Angeles Times that having a gay teammate would be difficult and uncomfortable.
For me, as a Christian I will be uncomfortable because in all my teachings and all my learning, biblically, its not right, Hunter told the Times. It will be difficult and uncomfortable.
Kevin Baxter, who wrote a lengthy piece for the Times on gays in sports, described Hunter as saying that a gay teammate could divide a team.
Its a disappointing view from someone who seems to be so great at uniting his teammates. One would think that players would accept a teammate no matter what if the player helped them win games. Perhaps Hunter would change his mind if he learned that one of his past teammates was gay, or if a prominent player came out.

He’ll be playing for the Tigers next season.
You are no longer allowed to be uncomfortable or have any opposite ideas about anything.
PC means thought control
Man, I wish the Angels would have kept him. He was great for that club.
In today’s politically correct society who cares what the Bible or the Constitution says? Liberals believe both need to be amended to meet their PC standards.
They haven’t developed the technology to control my thoughts or feelings of comfort/discomfort yet.
I wonder how long it will be before the Bible is criminalized for being “homophobic” and “sexist”. Somehow, I do not think this will happen to the Koran.
What could possibly be uncomfortable about having to share a locker room with an openly gay teammate?
I’m watching a documentary about the nazi cult. They’re quoting Himmler calling Christianity a plague.
He was one of my favorite Angels..I wish they would have kept him too
Yes. Despite modern left-wing propaganda, the National Socialists were trying to revive pre-Christian Teutonic paganism. They nominally used Christianity since Roman Catholicism and Lutheranism were already the prominent German religions at the time. I believe atheistic Soviet tyrant Stalin did a similar thing with the Russian Orthodox Church in order to help patriotism during World War II.
The show I’m watching is on H2 by the way.
If the team owner who pays Tori $18,000,000 per year tells him to be comfortable with it, Tori will be comfortable with it.
Whatever you do, DON’T JUDGE... Discernment in life is for those eeeevil haters.
I agree with Larry but don’t all the fornicators make him uncomfortable, too? Or are all those pro athletes chaste and/or faithful to a wife?
I think the uncomfortable-ness stems from the fact that you are a sexual object to the homosexual man on your team.
MSM found their new John Rocker.
So much for La Grande Orange.
I don’t think Torii has a problem with fornicators in general. He has at least one baby mama himself.
It’s wrong Larry, to a Christian. This used to be a Christian nation.
Everybody knew that he was gay, but nobody cared because Rusty kept it to himself. He still does to this day. The Mets seem to be the team for gay baseball players. They had Rusty, later Roberto for a time, and their re-signed face of the franchise.
