BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: NY Paper Publishes Legal Gun Permit Holders Names In Print & Online!
AMI Global Security ^ | 24 DEC 2012 | Tony Mele

Posted on 12/24/2012 6:52:36 AM PST by Old Sarge

A New York Newspaper Printed the names and addresses of every Licensed Pistol Permit holder in two Counties and another County is being posted shortly! This is a massive privacy breach and the latest in a series of over the top emotional reactions to the latest shooting tragedy in Sandy Hook CT meant to intimidate the lawful and prey on peoples fears to exploit the gun grabbing agenda.

In an article title “The gun owner next door: What you don’t know about the weapons in your neighborhood” the paper linked to an interactive map titled: “Map: Where are the gun permits in your neighborhood?” where you can search neighborhoods to see who received a legal permit to own a hand gun license listed by name and address.

I searched for this and found nothing.

The source article can be found HERE.

The publication, something called Lohud.com, is a front company for - wait for it - Gannett!

If you are reading this, please notify the Bang List, and any other ping list you have.

This is only the beginning - The Left is now bold enough to not even bother hiding the coming agenda!

This is designed to encourage gun theft.
Now, if a criminal wants a gun, they'll know whos house to break into to steal one.
This way the criminal can avoid having to go through the feds to acquire one.

The left needs a certain amount of killing to push their agenda. This will help them accumulate more collateral damage for their cause.

Need to publish names and address's of newspaper staff!

FYI, to notify the banglist, just add "banglist" in your keywords which someone already has.

So now if someone harasses a permit holder and winds up getting shot, then they were forewarned by the media, so they shouldn’t complain?
It is a serious breach of privacy, But we have reached the point where we shouldn’t care too much. Someone confronts you, respond.

It is also probably illegal. Time for class action suit by all the permit holders against the paper.

This is why registration is a bad thing. The left can send out their crimminals to make sure those guns are stolen and used for political gain.

We don't live in that area, but I'd be happy to know my neighbors were armed. I'd feel a lot safer in this liberal world because of it.

Would you rather live in a neighborhood that was armed or unarmed?

I’ll take the armed neighborhood — and, according to John Lott, neighborhoods where citizens are armed are much safer and have less crime.

Criminals want citizens unarmed, it makes their “jobs” easier. Is a criminal going to break into a home with a “Beware of Owner” sign on it with a photo of a large gun? Or a home without such a sign?

If I were moving, I’d make use of that map in a second. I have more to fear from criminals than I do from my neighbors.

Had to refresh myself on this.

The Hatch Act of 1939, officially An Act to Prevent Pernicious Political Activities, is a United States federal law whose main provision is to prohibit employees (civil servants) in the executive branch of the federal government, except the president, vice-president, and certain designated high-level officials of the executive branch, from engaging in partisan political activity. The law was named for Senator Carl Hatch of New Mexico.

According to Wiki, seems it only applies to Federal Employees.

That was my feeling as well, legal gun owners are not the ones to fear. This is to scare the idiot who says things like “that gun may GO OFF and hurt someone”. I have heard someone make that very statement! Idiot!

"Laws are for thee, but not for me."
They have armed body guards. It's ok for them to have protection, but not us. They consider themselves Gods among men.

The world would be a more peaceful place without the liberal media. The discord would disappear overnight.

There’s another way to look at though. I can’t carry with me all my weapons everywhere I go so that leaves some of them at my home while I’m out of the house. They are hidden and secured but there is nothing like telling the burglars where to look for guns.

To the lying scumbag media and other liberals, there is no difference between a registered sex offender and legal CCW holder.

Sad and very troubling. This map and list set up they put together is probably better and more accurate than anything they have set up for keeping track of disgusting convicted pedophiles and sex offenders. (gotta be careful as an adolescent lest you become a sex offender FOR LIFE for making out with your also underage girlfriend!) Or convicted felons. I guess it’s a lot easier to keep track of the law abiding than the bad guys huh? It’s not like the good guys are going to call the aclu for privacy issues. Maybe we should call them. Besides what do they care about ANY act. They’re excercising 1st amendment rights. Of course they would never put out an interactive map of who has had abortions (infanticide?) by name an address cause that’s private. WTH?

Still driving the wrong way on the one way PC street.

To the lying scumbag media and other liberals, there is no difference between a registered sex offender and legal CCW holder.

And this is the reason they did this: to stigmatize legal gun owners, as if they're doing something repugnant.

Ironic, isn't it? The same media that glorifies and lauds sex offenders like Bill Clinton and Jerry Sandusky, tries to make gun owners out to be the real reprobates.

And when a thug gets plugged while attempting a robbery, the inevitable quote from the thug’s momma will be that he was just getting his life turned around and was a good boy.

From my perspective, this appears to show criminals where armed citizens are..... and tells them where armed citizens AREN’T.

I went there and punched on a red dot and up came the name and address of the gun permit man.

I felt like I had broken into his house. I’m sure those owners are freaking out - this is really bad. The group who did this says this is public information. That should be changed. I wonder if it is public information in Texas - is there public information in Texas listing every one who has a consealed carry card?

This one surprised me. The school SROs in Mobile, Alabama are not allowed to carry guns.

http://www2.wkrg.com/news/2012/dec/18/ct-shooting-reignites-debate-arming-school-resourc-ar-5196493/

MOBILE, Alabama —
A shooting on the campus of LeFlore high school earlier this year prompted talk of re-arming school resource officers. Right now—schools across the state are forbidden from arming their security force. State Senator Rusty Glover is introducing legislation for the third time to allow school boards in Mobile County only to decide whether they want school resource officers to pack heat.
“These resource officers are highly trained many are former police officers so they are someone that's going to use a lot of good judgment whenever making decisions in times of crisis,” says Rusty Glover. It would still need the thumbs up from school boards like Mobile County—board member Dr. Reginald Crenshaw says arming school resource officers would lead to gun battles not safety.
