Amid talk of reinstating the assault weapons ban that expired eight years ago, police departments nationwide are thinking of ways to confiscate such weapons.
As WCBS 880’s Marla Diamond reported, among the departments considering taking action is the NYPD. Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said if Congress were to reinstate the ban, police are wondering whether it will be their responsibility to confiscate them.

Utter BS. I know lots of big city cops. Cops are thinking of ways to avoid trouble when TSHF, safely go home to protect their families and collect a pension.
Big city cops have no power beyond the leftist city ratholes.

If you plan on turning over a single firearm to the jackboots, then you've missed the entire reason for the 2nd Amendment.
My gun budget was toast for this month, so I was planning on getting the AR next month. Then the shooting happened, and everything disappeared in the panic buying.
I've been to a couple of my favorite gun stores, and they are out of everything AK and AR related.

It is typical of them to use a burner phone, have a gal record a “panicked” call from script on a pocket recorder, make the call from near target, remove the phone battery, and leave. Of course it doesn't have so much effect, should a liberal be accidentally targeted by one of their own, because liberals will be thrilled with the "pleasure" of entertaining police in their home.
