State police are responding to a report of a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dickinson Drive, school officials said.
Police are reporting a number of injured parties. The nature of their injuries is not clear.

NJ and CT already have some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. Loads of good that did.
Now the press is reporting on President Obama’s reaction and concern. I’m sure we’ll get a presser out of the White House by 6pm prime time. Never let a crisis go to waste.

I’m sending these comments of yours to younger relatives with children in school for their consideration.
If the deranged shooter/shooters are using Glocks or any semi auto pistol, few if any would be able to hit a running target versus a poor child or adult huddled with others on a floor and cornered.
If they had a shotgun, increasing the range between you and the shooter by running would probably save your life.
Even, if they have a rifle, few people have the experience and mental capability to hit a running deer or rabbit with a rifle. So aqain running away should decrease the odds of being shot, verus again, huddled with others on a floor and cornered.
The same concept of running would apply if one is caught in a mall shooting.
Right now we should all be saying prayers for the victims, their families, and their friends. And for the soul of this nation.
This is not playing politics, just giving information.

If only someone trained had been armed, perhaps many lives could have been saved. Obama and the left are going to use this horrific tragedy for their agenda. We will be no safer.
.223 caliber rifle used.. 20 year old shooter. Other shooter is in custody. 20 yo has ties to the school.
Ok, let me put on the foil hat. Has anyone looked to too see if families of these shooters have all of a sudden gotten a little more well off? What better way to turn the public against guns. Promise their family will be taken care of if they do this. No witnesses left either.
What's happened? We've forsaken GOD ALMIGHTY. He have said your school can give out condoms...but not a gospel tract. We've said our teachers can tell them about planned parenthood but not prayer. THAT'S what's happened.

Eyewitness News reporters on the scene observed a man in camouflage gear being taken away from the staging area. He screamed to people in the area that he was not involved in the shooting. He had been hiding in the woods when taken into custody.
There used to be a list somewhere that linked antidepressants and mass shooters.

It has become increasingly difficult for me to have any rational conversation with them about anything now, and I think the re-election of Obama has permanently divided us into two irreconcilable Americas.
Lastly, my prayers for the families hurt by this horrible tragedy, being a father myself, I find this a difficult story to follow.

Well, here in California we have the death penalty, and currently we have something like 700 people on death row.
The most sure way I know of to live for multiple decades longer, is to kill someone and get convicted in my state.
This makes me furious, but I’m just a Conservative in a sea of idiots.
IF one was taken alive (early reports are almost always wrong) they should be skinned alive in public.
