State police are responding to a report of a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dickinson Drive, school officials said.
Police are reporting a number of injured parties. The nature of their injuries is not clear.

This is horrible. As a parent, I cannot imagine the horror they are feeling. That being said, this will probably be the last straw before the government finishes off the 2nd amendment. I say shut down public schools and go entirely home schooling. This is a better solution.
Wait, I seen in a previous post that the shooter was 20? Kindergarden kids are 5. This is not adding up.
When the police got into the building, they told the children to start running and not stop until they got to the nearby fire station. I have never seen how sitting all together in an unlocked (or barely locked) room is going to do anything except make it easier for the shooter.

Pete Williams reports that the shooter was age 20 and had connections to CT and NJ. No other information has been released.
And we ought to ban mountain climbing and skiing and other extreme sports. Lots of people getting hurt and killed with those activities.
Just heard a news report that one suspect (perhaps the dead gunman) was `8 to 20 years old and from New Jersey.

This is starting to sound like terrorism for sure. If I had a child n school anywhere today, I would take them out of school.
Oh, and we also ought to get the government out of schooling.

if you're going to have kids in school, parent volunteers should be everywhere....its time to become active in protecting our children....
Maybe someone should ask her why, as guns have been around for thousands of years, we are seeing a lot of these happening recently. The problem isn’t guns, it is other things in society resulting in mental derangement. We can debate what those are, but to go after the guns is to attack the symptom, not the problem
