In fact you have no legal authority that agrees with you, since they refuse to discuss it.
Get over it, just because they refuse to enforce the law doesnt make you correct.
They easily changed illegal to un-documented, see how easy that was. It is very easy to change Natural Born Citizen to men , oh say, citizen of the world.
Phulleeeze! Not another old Republican retread! With that stark white head of hair he looks 129 years old! Just what the media needs to be able to laugh him all the way back to the 19th century, where he looks like he came from.
you’re right... the founders are dead. just disregard everything they said and why they said it. forget those long dead ideals... best to go with what feels right
seriously, go back to DU if you want to play fast and loose with the Constitution
He has common sense which seems to completely escape you.
We just went through four years of Romney Pimping, now we have to suffer through four more years of RINO pimping?
Just for laughs, is Obama a Natural Born Citizen? If so what is your proof? Might you think he is NBC because no one has ever challenged his credentials. Judges who declare that not one human in the US has standing do not count.
Give us a break.
Unlike you, who seems to relish in the prospect, of looking like an idiot.
You have a very active imagination if you think that is what I said.
"That is the problem now, as it was in 1987. Amnesty is granted but the border security and immigration enforcement never materialize."
Correct. And that is why the border must BE CLOSED (not "declared closed"). One approach to that assurance is that such a determination will be made by the governors of the four states along that border....not the feds. I'm sure there are other acceptable mechanisms to reach the same endpoint.
“For instance, I think the illegal alien anchor baby issue can be resolved by Congressional notice of the fact that no United States divorce court would have jurisdiction over custody of a couple’s children, if the husband and wife were not citizens of the United States. Therefore, the child even if born here would not be fully under the jurisdiction thereof “
I agree with you on that point. Where would that leave the child of a couple just visiting the US? Would their child be a natural born citizen, then?
Just happened upon CNN surfing the dial, that rotten girl Solodat Obrien was all excited about the question about the earths age.
I do not think a honest Christian can ever win the White House again,
I really think not.
A honest Christian will be asked to say that his/her Christian faith will not influence his views on abortion, gay marriage and the age of the earth etc
Our only hope is Christ
I refuse to vote for anyone who refuses simple scientific facts in order to pander to a particular religious base. We all have our rules here on FR, those are mine.
His answer on the earth’s age was pathetic, embarrassing and childish. “I’m not a scientist, man?” Well, Marco, my 6 year old knows the earth is roughly 4.5 billion years old and can refer you to hundreds of years of science explainin that through facts and evidence.
Ridiculous.
You radical bithers are the folks who can not seem to get a single judge, a single member of Congress, a single Governor, a single election official, a single Constitutional scholar or single immigration attorney or a single historian on your side.
You are wrong. Nobody agrees with you. You have lost the argument, and your argument was very stupid and ignorant to begin with.
And in answer to your question? I do not know about Obama, as I am not positive as to his place of birth, but if Obama was born on US soil, that is all the law requires. However, if Obama was born on foreign soil, his mother was not old enough to pass on citizenship to him.
You decided what YOU wanted and you are now trying to twist the law to fit your notions.
The Founders did NOT require that BOTH parents be US Citizens. The founders only required that one be a citizen at the moment of birth for that person to become President. Those rules can change under the Constitution and they have changed several times.
All that the Constitution requires is that POTUS was a citizen at the time of birth under the rules in force at that time.
Well it would be silly for me to argue/discuss this further, but respected Christian Theologians would differ with you.
The theory of evolution for instance as far as I am concerned, is a lie from the pit of hell.
Was only a theory by a guy, possibly 2, that has now been blindly accepted by the masses
Most are basing there belief on carbon dating, very questionable
Also dont forget it`s the same “scientists” that believe in global warming that believe in all this nonsense
And NO the dinosaurs do not end the story, they just have the dating wrong
It`s what I believe, as well as Christian Theologians, notice I said Christian Theologians
I respect your right to believe as you do, nevertheless
yup... you’re unhinged
The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162, 168.
sorry... is that inconvenient for you? is it too complicated? do you need it broken down into smaller words?
ok:
a natural born citizen who is a citizen naturally... as there are no alternatives
only those trying to deceive would confuse such a simple thing
LOGIC!
To say that it was “never doubted” that a set of facts produced a known outcome, IE, Natural Born Citizenship, does NOT, in any way, exclude other sets of facts whioh can and do ALSO produce Natural Born Citizenship.
As a Citizen can be born abroad, of two citizen parents (depending on the laws at the time of birth) and as a Citizen can also be born on US soil -— You fail in English and in Logic and at law.
Try this:
“it has never been doubted that a red barn is a barn”
Does this statement mean that all barns must be red?
Of course not!
You birthers are a joke, nobody with any legal understanding agrees with you.
You have not one single expert on your side.
NOT ONE!
Why is that?
not one... except for a supreme court justice.
you, you have ... well, nothing. just the desire to get your guy onto the ballot, even though he’s not eligible.
keep ranting, lib troll. you only make yourself more obvious
If you are popped out on US soil, that makes you both a US citizen and a natural-born citizen. Try to find any legal citation that says otherwise.
wrong
if a mother from another country, like mexico, runs across the border and pops the kid out... the kid, having 2 mexican parents, would be a US citizen AND a mexican citizen
but... since there is more then one choice... he would not be a natural born citizen, just a US citizen
if what you suggest would be enough, then foreign royalty could give birth in the US ... and the kid could be king of [name country] as well as POTUS... a situation the founders were strictly against and was the main reason they entered the ‘natural born’ adjective
** edited for formatting
You do NOT have any Supreme Court justices on your side
YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO READ!
That a particular set of facts was affirmed as meeting the requirements for a Natural Born Citizen does not, in any way, deny that another set of facts might not qualify the same requirements.
All Red Barns are Red.
All Red Barns are Barns.
Not every barn is red.
Not everything that is red is a barn.
You do not understnad basic logic and you do not understand the English language.
You have absolutley no clue how to read a legal decision.
You are wrong, and this is why you have absolutely nobody of any importance on your side.
