CBS News has learned that during the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi, the Obama Administration did not convene its top interagency counterterrorism resource: the Counterterrorism Security Group, (CSG).
"The CSG is the one group that's supposed to know what resources every agency has. They know of multiple options and have the ability to coordinate counterterrorism assets across all the agencies," a high-ranking government official told CBS News. "They were not allowed to do their job. They were not called upon."

This entire event is just sickening, but when everything is out, there is still the one astounding fact.........Obama directed the blame to US first, using our constitution to support an intentional fabricated lie about a movie, created in America.
Obama needs to answer some questions, My list starts with why was Chris Stevens meeting with the Turks in Benghazi and not Tripoli? What is or was stored at the CIA annex? What was Ty Wood’s real job? (That is not an indictment of Woods, CIA uses compartmentalization and what Woods was doing was probably completely innocent.). Who in the CIA or State Dept. has the complete picture? Did Obama know? If not, why didn’t he and why isn’t he resigning in shame?
CBS News...? Has the levy has broke?
Did they look at their children and find their consciences?
John Bolton pointed that out about a week ago on Greta. Four other embassies had been attacked from very early in the day DC time. It was a Tuesday, a normal business day. The entire national defense/security community was on alert and buzzing all day long. The alert from Benghazi came in about 4:40 PM DC time. No one was sleeping or away from their posts.

However, your statement evokes a question I've been asking myself for a week-or-so.
How did the Obama Administration even come to be aware of the existence of the You Tube video -- "Innocence of Muslims"???!!!
To describe the video as "obscure" is an understatement. At the time the Administration rolled the video out as an excuse for the embassy protests in the Middle East, the video had recorded either 113 or 856 views, as I understand it. Further, it had been up on the web for at least two months.
How in hell did Obama and Hillary even know that the damned thing existed? And that it was provocative enough to conceivably inflame the Middle East? Who alerted them to its existence? And why?
And what inspired the Administration to employ this obscure piece of Pallywood propaganda as a semi-plausible excuse?
Do (sos) clinton and huma know something (sod) panetta does not know. Read a report earlier today clinton is backing away from people our government has been supporting in syria. Am finding nothing where panetta is backing away from those same people. Something is up?

Why convene the Counterterrorism Security Group for what we have all been assured was just an spontaneous, enthusiastically negative movie review?

Waiting to see what happens next. I’ll go out on a limb and predict that if the information does not come out correctly in the media it will come out by other means from the sources.
Whoever has leaked all along will be hunted down like an escaped prisoner from a Stalag if Obama wins.
These people should realize that.
They need to do a total data dump now to ensure an Obama loss. Otherwise, they’ll discover Chicagocide is as bad as Arkancide.
No one mentions that Zero and Clinton both went on TV over there repeatedly offering apologies for the video - on the taxpayers dime.

It should be Jennifer Griffin & Bret Baier of Fox being given the Pulitzer also, they have been all over this story from the beginning, they didn’t back down even when no one else would touch it. Jennifer broke the news on Fox tonight about the Counter-terrorism Team not being called in.I think the Intel community is going to dump on this admin before the election, seeing the writing on the wall, so to speak.
It is such a sad story, the US officials can say there was no delay but people on the ground in Bengazi say different, that Tyrone Woods was told twice to stand down when there was 20-30+ in the consulate under attack, so he disobeyed orders and went in and rescued them, then lost his life defending the annex when no one came to their aid.
This shows the administration’s incompetence and outright disregard for the lives of Americans, I think it was to coverup the shipment of arms to Syrian rebels. I’m confident we will know soon. More and more is coming out. Heads up for a document dump Friday.

yep, very true. Also the reason why the lamestream drive-bys never ran with the story. Knew it would be the end of their hero. After the election, this cannot be bottled up, and the lamestream drive-bys know zer0 is going down.
If the MSM starts to report on Benghazi just as we get closer to the election it will be for one reason and one reason only: The liberal elite (including the MSM) will have realized that Obama is going to lose and they must have an alternative explanation other than Obama’s failed ideology/policies to blame his defeat on. Benghazi allows them to blame his defeat on his incompetence and lying. Yes, a big part of the Benhazi debacle stems directly from his inane ideology, but they will maintatin that a significant part of his election loss resulted from Benghazi lying/incompetence.

WELL worth reading the whole article. With CBS doing this sort of “random act of journalism,”, my guess is that some whistelblowers are getting very impatient. This thing could get noisy yet.

This is an accurate statement. There were no delays because requests for assistance were refused. Refusal = no rescue. At all.
