CBS News has learned that during the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi, the Obama Administration did not convene its top interagency counterterrorism resource: the Counterterrorism Security Group, (CSG).
"The CSG is the one group that's supposed to know what resources every agency has. They know of multiple options and have the ability to coordinate counterterrorism assets across all the agencies," a high-ranking government official told CBS News. "They were not allowed to do their job. They were not called upon."

These must be some of the emails that Gingrich was talking about yesterday. It was thought that one of the MSM holders of the emails was CBS.
It's almost time for the Friday news dump, but I think there might be some in the MSM who actually would like this to get out sooner. If nothing else, they'd like to scoop the other source that supposedly has these emails.
Four other embassies had been attacked on Sept. 11th before the consulate in Benghazi was. What would it take to cause 0coward and his buttmonkeys to become concerned about our personnel overseas?

The fact that Romney made a statement first is why they decided to blame the Youtube Video, to turn Mitt’s factual statement into a “gaffe”.

Then they were stuck with it for 2 weeks. It also covered up their lack of action, which they hoped would clear them until the election.

President Obama says that the Secretary of State was responsible for Ambassadors and Consulates as well as their security and they blew it. He says that also under the bus is the CIA and the Military — they blew it.
He had a fundraiser to rest up for and as far as he knew those others had it handled when he went off to bed after the “movie” they were showing about it.
I can’t understand why some minor figures in the media just don’t refer to his Nobel Prize award and leave these smaller issues for the others truely responsible.

I have a friend who is still quite convinced that the October surprise that never happened was supposed to be the ambassador being kidnapped and Obama riding in to save the day.
Im more of a mind that this event was orchestrated to tie off the loose ends of the missle transfers ("thefts").
Remember, The Muslim-in-Chief doesnt have to rely on our intelligence, he has a direct connection to AQ intelligence, such as it is, through Raila. He has his own connections outside of the system.
Also remember, the Turks were there discussing Russias knowledge of our transfers to Syria.
Isnt it convenient that the Moslem Brotherhood forces in Cairo wacked the AQ commander who lead the attack? I suspect its not coincidental that the MB would be the biggest beneficiary of missles moved to Syria and other places.

Yes today the WaPo and CBS both decided today was the day to jump on board with the Benghazi story. Isn’t that interesting? are these the two media outlets that Catherine Herridge said had and were anot releasing the smoking gun emails?
MSM have decided they can’t keep this particular story under wraps. A legit source in the intel community is spilling the beans, and CBS, ABC etc can’t be seen as being that far behind Fox or internet sources. The MSM isn’t going to do any digging on Libya, but this is being thrown in their faces and they have to at least mention it.
Am leaning there is something about to go wrong and clinton wants an out, after helping to arm terrorists.
A White House official says President Obama immediately acknowledged the assault was a terrorist attack. However, there was confusion as White House spokesman Jay Carney said three days later, "We have no information to suggest that it was a preplanned attack."
So instead of outright lying, Carney was merely confused.

The most infuriating statement is that “(a response) was there within 24 hours, well within policy “. What quintessential bureaucratic BS.
